View Full Version : Clinton or Obama?

Clinton has better numbers facing McCain right now and with all the controversy regarding Obama, will the DNC's superdelegates override the vote? Likewise, more of the Clinton supporters polled will cross lines and go for McCain.
The idea of having another Bush or Clinton in isn't all that appealing either to most. So which direction will the DNC go? Go with the norm of the last 20 years or take a chance on a guy who's popularity is sliding down the tubes?

I wouldn't vote for Clinton if you paid me. If she manages anything in the same insulting and reckless manner as her campaign then we might as well just have another term of Bushit.
Obama all the way.

Obama all the way. This country needs a big change on how its run and Obama is the one to do it. Clinton is running a republican campain and that bothers me so is she a democrat or a repubilcan i dont know. And a person that can lie in your face like she did and get away with it I cant trust her.:rasta::rastasmoke::pimp:

(Oh and I think both Obama and Hillary are horrible choices. But I pick Obama over Hillary not b/c of their political stances (those are horrifying) but b/c he does have a good personality (you know, the Kennedy method).

I have a feeling Obama will get the nomination, though I would much rather Clinton.
To be perfectly frank, Obama scares me due to several reasons. For starters he attends, from what I have gathered from the abundance of clips coming out, a radical church. He has little experience and less can be determined about what he actually believes based on his casting fewer votes.
At least we know the Clinton's are manipulative politicians who desperately crave power. I'm much more comfortable with that than an abstract slogan called "change" and little experience.
All that aside though, I think the DNC will go with Obama. For one, he has a much more passionate following and a lot of democrats will likely feel betrayed by their party. I think they expect more anger and possibly protests from Obama's voters as opposed to Clinton's.
I'm voting for McCain since I dislike both Dem's more than him.

Don't really want either one. But I DON'T want another 4 years of the Clinton dynasty. He really stabbed medical MJ in the back when he was in office. He had the ability to have made MMJ legal at the federal level and instead put that asshole McGaffrey as drug czar who just loved to persecute MMJ users. The Clintons had there chance and did nothing.

This is just a general point of view on voting in regards to policies. While I definitely am not voting for Clinton.. I still feel that a candidates policy MMJ should not be a major factor in who people will or will not vote for.
I love cannabis and I am an advocate for legalization but there is more going on in America than marijuana.
I just wanted to make sure everyone is trying to keep focus on the big picture and not our own selfish personal interests.
But on the flip side if all an individual is interested in is marijuana and nothing else in life.. then I guess you have nothing else to make your decision on aside from that :wtf:
edit: just wanted to note this wasn't directed to the poster I quoted. I was simply using their post as an example. I of course have no idea what other things are important to that poster in determining who they will vote for and am not trying to insinuate that they are wrong or anything else derrogatory. I was just taking an oppurtunity to remind those who do only focus on marijuana (and yes there are a number of you on this site) when looking at politics.
Sorry to the poster if they took my reply as an attack. This is *definitely* not the case.

ok you are a biggot fool if you think barrack is a muslim and about his radical pastor he did not accept his support. On the other hand John McCain did not denounce his radicals preachers support i think you should watch this video YouTube - McCain's Spiritual Guide (http://youtube.com/watch?v=WXZbIGJrDkg) yes i know he did recently deny him and idk who would want the clintons again i couldnt stand the sound of her voice for 4 years let alone have her making our countries decisions

I am disappointed at the entire process, felt my vote really did not count due to Super Delegates! So, it is up to them, not us! That ticks me! Was so involved in process and believed in it, until now. But should have remembered the Carter superdelegat deal! Demos need to change process and clean up their act! Guess Michelle O. will run for V.P.; Now that she has become 'proud of her country!';) I recall Reagan and his oldtimers disease, McCain isn't much of a choice, especially with that skin cancer (worst kind-even though doing well). Gore couldn't save himself and a lot of this sounds like that election, in a way! Only it is within one party!

Obamas the only non-sellout i think so far but i may be wrong in the end... Wouldnt you think a war hero POW would be smarter. but i dont think obama has a chance to win to many racists like old white ladys, and middle age white men wont vote for him but i think much of the youth wont have problem with him and with the democratic party divided between hilary and obama idk just my thoughts

Obama is for change and I hope that he invests in development in space, that once established would boost the economy big time. Obama a sell out? saying he would not bother med pot patients? What planet do you live on? McPain is the sellout, reversing most of his core beliefs to now be a virtual clone of Bush! Anyone with even a pea-sized brain would not vote for him! Besides, didn't they dig him up in the desert next to a T-Rex? :D

Personally, I am not impressed with any choice! One, because I do think it is important for the Demo's to win, regardless of who runs! I have heard to many comments from people like tmayu2 stated! I would like a win, but am afraid it will be a race election and/or possible sexist! Heard many say, Hillary is a bitch, won't vote for her and on Martin Luther day heard people saying it was "N.. . Day bank is closed!" Was in a warmer climate during winter for my aches and so were all of them and those knuckleheads vote! Knew nothing of issues and did not care! With the Oprah machine behind him, I think he has the best chance. In fact, I almost got tossed out of a X.mas party when I express my opinion of the Gore/Bush election. A big turnout, first in years. Oprah was on TV saying daily--go vote, doesn't matter who, just vote! I said, well, she didn't tell them who to vote for and cited the mentality of the people that watch, support and go tho her show as almost a cult following! Usually, I keep my mouth shut about politics, as so many are very opinionated and mean spirited about it! It is nice to feel so free in a space like this and WHOEVER (ALL THE PEOPLE THAT) SET UP THIS SITE ARE JUST BRILLIANT! AND the user's open minded and allow us all to think and express as we feel! Pat yourself on the back for being so open minded!

i really really hope that obama turns out to be the engineer of change and the non-conformist that he is currently making himself out to be... his announcement about PAC and lobbyist money is exactly the sort of change this country needs.
