Sorry For Reposting This again, I just thought that I should start a grow log for these plants. Again These Are Willy Jack Hypnoberry. Ok so as today, if you view my first pic of the grow room, you will see a 4th pot with nothing growing. I had thrown 2 seeds from unknown origins in there and they just sprouted today. so as of now its 5 plants. 3 Hypnoberry 2 bag seed

Plants look great ill be taggin' along watching the show!

im using t-5 cfl's. since floresents dont have the power of an HID lamp i have to flower early so i can get more bud out of a plant then i would if i let a normal HID lighted Plant grow to.

hey i was just wondering what brand T5 do you have. I have the same kind of T5 - the 24" 2 bulb setup and mines 110w with 10,000 lumens. Your plants are looking nice and bushy like mine did, no stretching really.
Great work !

Im not sure what brand it is but i got them from High Tech Garden Supply (http://www.htgsupply.com) Im hoping they turn out nice. I cant Wait to grow my next few as well, im thinking about doing a sativa Mix or go for Sour Diesel

Very nice, a little small for Flowering but thats okay, they look naturally short and bushy like mine :)

Yeah they are kind of short, but all the books ive read about CFL's is that you should start flowering after 16-20 days.

Hey Anbesol, fat, beautiful indicas there, bro!
T5s aren't actually CFLs, but that's ok. CFLs are the compact little swirly ones that fit into standard light sockets.
I don't know where you're getting to veg for LESS time with less wattage/lumens? Doesn't that seem contrary to logic? I would think they need more veg time with T5s than with MH.
Less veg time + less intensity = more bud from a single plant?
No way. The only way that would work would be in a SOG setup gauging gpw/m and it would take a long time.

Hey Thanks for Taking a look. I can Understand Exactly where you are coming from and it really doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. If you have heard of the grow book "Grow 8 oz Of Bud for under 100 Dollars?" The grower grows 3 plants under CFL's and vedges for only 16 days, he claims that the fluoresent light doesnt penetrate as well as HID lights. He says that after 2 weeks of begining 12/12 that the plants should double themselves. Im taking a leap of faith that he is correct, My last grow i had, i vedgd for 6 weeks and the lights didnt penetrate well and i didnt even finish the one plant. so wish me luck, and i will keep everyone posted because i do want to see if Seemore Green's book is correct on the 16 day rule. I waited till 20.
I also plan on throwing reg 100 watt CFL's arount the lower limbs to help those bud as well

Looks good, Anbesol!
First off, no, I haven't heard of "Grow 8 oz of bud for $100" but the title is just as ridiculous as the info it provides! I mean come on, that's just silly and misleading. Sure you can grow a half pound for a hundred bucks but that takes a few grows to even out. Hell, a LOT of people pay more than that per month in HID electricity!
The author, whoever he is, is correct that there's a stretching period where (most) plants double or even triple in height when first dropped to 12/12.
I don't believe in the "because it's bound and tangible and came from a publishing company" theory of education. Instead, I feel you learn the most from witnessing and taking notes from real world application, i.e. trial and error.
It just so happens there is an amazing little resource full of what works and what doesn't, with UP TO DATE info complete with outside criticism and praise. This invaluable tool is packed with real people, really doing it, and unlike other sites, it feels personal! People on this forum really bond while striving to work together to form solutions to more efficient grows.
I've read more logs than I care to count and will continue reading until the internet is all used up and we got to head out californee-way :D

I Can Understand Your Point. But You have to wish me luck bro. Now i dont expect to get buds that are even comparable to a 400 watt, but im going this way before i switch my current set up to an orchid grow and go up to the 400 watt. I hope you Keep Watching Thanks SimonMakus.
These Pics are From Day 4 of 12/12
They Have Increased Size.
I also had just sprayed them so thats why they look wet. ha

Things are looking great...i was considering flowering early as well so i will be watching you grow closely...I have 12 plants which i plan to flower about 6 or maybe all 12 in a sog after 28 days under cfl because of the intensity problem...it will be interesting to see this under the more powerful t5's. Good luck and keep up teh good work..
PS. What size are those plant containers i think they would be a perfect size for what im trying to accomplish?

No problem, Anbesol. Happy to help :)
They're looking great! Did you feed 'em or just spray them with water?
Also, just noticed in your first post you said pH: 6-6.5
That's absolutely fine, but try to keep it in the mid 6s with 6.8 as the optimal level for uptake of all nutrients in soil.
Oh, and I wish you the best of luck, man! :smokin:

I forgot to mention that now that i have switched to 12/12 i have reduced my watering to every other day. in just the 5 days that i have been doing this( i lied, i started a bit earlier then 5 days ago...maybe 10) I have started to seen an increase in growth and bushyness on all of them...I am starting to be nervous of the one plant that seems to have more round leaves then the other 2 with pointy leaves. It seems to not be growing as well. The conditions for all of them are the same. I give them all the Same amount of water, etc. I feel that this may be a result in genetic mutation or a recessive trait in the hynoberry gene pool, While the pointy leaves are more dominant. Ive been reading the Breeders Bible. :D

So what i have seen so far and what i have learned and read on cannabis, I fear that in the Last post by...Pics 1 and 3. Are Males. I cant tell by 2. and i have a feeling that plant 2 (pic 2) is not a very strong plant for some reason... So if any one even reads this blog. It may get cut short very soon. Im going to give the plants another 2 weeks to make sure. I may have to get some new seeds soon.

Im using my cell phone camera, thats all i have so i hope this is a good one. It looks like a male. the other one i have has smaller amounts of them. but this pic has nads all over it haha, well it seems like that. im hoping not. id rather not have to go buy new seeds. Im planning on letting it go a bit longer. but this grow show may be over soon....
eh this pic is really bad. the best i could do with 2 mega pixels...you can barely see them

It's hard to tell but the two closeups I agree are males.
However, you mentioned the runt, and oftentimes the smallest plants that you perceive as the weakest will be female. That being said though, if you had a choice of several different females, you'd of course pick the most vigorous. So it's very possible your lil one is a girl.
I would either order seeds, get clones, or find some good bagseed now because even if the one is a girl you've still got 9 or so weeks til you can smoke your own!

You Could be right regarding the Female. I dont want to chop the males down yet. im going to give it a few more days...Im buying new seeds soon. Im thinking either New York City Diesel or Strawberry Cough. If anything happens regarding any female buisness i will post, but until then, i wont post any more pics.

Thanks To Simonmakus, I looked at the plants today, and the 2 front plants are total males. They both started stretching taller and really filled out the typical male look for cannabis. Im pretty sure the runt of the group is a female...i will chop the males this weekend.

the plants look very healthy, sorry to hear about the males. a cross of Chronic x Blueberry does sound very interesting, hopefully you've got at least 1 strong mother out of them.
NYCD looks amazing. I've always been too cheap to dish out the dough for it, but I remember rezdog was always showing off with it on Overgrow. good luck with them, and keep us updated.

The Update is that I figured the so called female was a runt and i got to impatient with the NYCD seeds. So i started the NYCD seeds and chopped the runty plant of the hypnoberry grow. i still have 2 seeds left to try one day again.
