Ok, so I am new to joining this whole grow crew as I FINALLY found some seeds worthwhile. This all sorts happened a convenient way to make use of the energy already being used to power reptile lights and has been progressing slowly - BUT I AM USING THIS AS A LEARNING PROCESS... so cmmts are apprecited, and so is your time if you actually clicked on the post. THX!
At first I had a scare with yellowing of leaves and went out and invested in 6 blubs worth of ballasts and 2 different kinds of plant bulbs. Then replanted into a large rubbermaid container. The yellowing ruined the bottom leaves of one plant but the others are doing ok as of now. I ordered some fish emulsion, cause I had no idea where to but it directly around town, so it is on the way. in the meantime i found a product sold at Target "terracycle" is worm poop fert. so i thought i couldn't be too harmful.

Anyway. I think the biggest is starting to show lil hairs on the top? Also, the stems are starting to turn red in spots, thought maybe it was the strain??? since it had the reddist hairs i have ever seen???
MY dad saw them briefly and said they all looked "pretty feminie" told me to drop the light, and i half did for ventilation, i am using a box fan for a few hours a day and they are on 24.
i am strongly considering led panels for flowering, any opinions?
And I also am thinkin of one of the light proof rubermaid conversions with top lid to conceal light, but am aware of ventilation issues.
I know I messed up with the soil, is it too late to change if i separate these 4 into 2 boxes and 2 plants? i thought deeper soil might be postive. Is that a totally bad Idea? i will be thinking on this, as the worm poop has just brought on great positive results and i am not wanting transplant shock but want more dirt /depth? & light proof - this has been a slow grow, but am excuted to actaully get semi-results. looks like the plants are about to start flowering! (don't jynx myself....)
i am so waiting to have a better clue as to what to do next...

o and my daddy suggested lyme. haven't gotten that far...

constructive critism is appreciated :weedpoke:

my dad told me "if you are gonna take the risk, do it right."
makes sense. i mean, wtf. i don't know what i am talking about, i didn't do any of this! hehe.

Poor air circulation due to being planted WAY too deep in much too large pots.
Must run ventilation all the time.
'Grow bulbs'= ? Not incandescent I hope. Those are all heat and few useable lumens.
Something's screwy with your soil, or it could be from heat stress. Those plants are severely deficient or locked out. The yellow leaves and red stems scream HUUUUNGRRRRRRREEE. Check the pH of your runoff.
Actually, stressed that badly, those plants are quite likely not going to flower the way you would like- possibly even turning hermaphrodite. Read the entire thread linked in my sig, plus the 'why should I repot' thread in the FAQs, for some basic considerations and I'd suggest starting new seeds in more appropriately sized pots. Oh- and only one seed per pot!

thanks for your few cents worth, it means a lot, i need advice, cause i am clueless - but enjoying learning the simplicity of such a wonderful thing. i am going to work this out, even if i lost out already. if you read this, do you think it is too late to save my growth:error:?

thanks so much, will be doing more research, i guess direction is what i needed ! and coming from you... as i see you are quite the expert, i will take it as maribibical. thanx again!

Even if you can save them, plants that are stunted and stressed early in life may never perform correctly. And moving them from that tub into separate pots at this point, while necessary (or cut the tub down to no more than an inch above the soil surface, and drill LARGE 1/2" drain holes in it), is another source of stress. Sure, go ahead and try to revive them if you have extra space, but definitely start some new seeds as well.
Give those plants a light foliar geed with a complete grow fert mixed weak as soon as you can, while you are troubleshooting the soil situation.

fish... and water... and attention

i think i may have saved them? any thoughts?
they started vegging a lil so i was just happy to see progress.

and most of all happy to learn.

thanks for viewing my poor pics.
i know i need a better camera and a better everything.
but you gotta make do with what is in front of ya

Well, you saved them! They look a million times better. Fish emulsion is primarily a N supplement but it has another neat property- there's lots of calcium phosphate in the bones that get crushed up in the processing, and there's a good chance that it has also helped to stabilize your pH. You still will want to find a 'complete' fertilizer that has micronutes in it as your base fert.
I like Ott lights. You might want to add more light now, even plain ol cfls or tube flouros, but those things are exceptional for cloning when the time comes.
