My twin girls (California Sensimillia) are just starting to want to flower, they are both female, and I am wondering what kind of nutes to start feeding them for flowering... preferably something off the shelf from the likes of walmart or Lowes. They were transplanted to 5 gallon buckets when they were about 8 inches high, about a week before Easter. The potting soil is Miricle Grow Moisture Control potting soil. The label says its 0.21-0.07-0.14 and is timed release to feed up to 3 months. They were put outside when they were transplanted. They seem to be pretty healthy and happy, I just want to keep them that way.

So...What was the question?

If you are limited to the box stores, Shultz Bloom Plus granular ferts work acceptably. Watch for signs of salt buildup, since that is not a cannabis-specific nute, and you may want to flush at some point during flower to keep that from building up, or make a point of watering to significant runoff every time.
Also, those plants will need bigger pots quite soon.

The "twins" are now over 54 inches tall and are budding nicely  When its daylight again, I will try to get some more pics made and post them. They were transplanted into the ground around May 3rd.
Stinky, you were right about the broken branch healing itself... that is almost back to normal too. Thanx sweet lady :D

Actually, they're in the back yard, but there is something to be said for living in a small rural farming community in south Mississippi
BTW...some of the colas on one of the 2 plants are over a foot long. I am figuring that in a couple of more weeks, there are a couple of branches that will be cut off as they will be ready, and then start taking the other branches as they mature.

Looks good steve!
I agree about the Shultz (sp?). I have had good results with it, but I prefer the water soluable powder because I can control it better.

Update.... they are now 65 inches tall and looking like Christmas trees :D
I took a small nug just to try it out and see how its gonna do.... light pine flavor, and takes a couple of minutes to take hold....a true "one hit wonder".... nice combination head and body high... and was really stoned. :joint1:
This morning I clipped off a cola that weighed over an ounce..... after trimming it, I was rolling little resin balls off my fingertips. Had a very slight skunk smell to it, but leaned heavely towards pine. They were California Indica seeds from Rhino

Did you clip or pinch the stems on those girls? And how are those buds ready in June?

I started them under lights in February and moved them outside on Good Friday... thing is that they have partially gone back into veg from the longer days... I am hoping that they don't go hermi, and with the extra growth, they will produce some really huge colas.
BTW... yes I did FIM them when they were only about a foot and a half tall. I almost did the branches too... I will have to try that for next sullers grow

Here ya go... one has had the main bud clipped for sampling, and the other has not been clipped.
BTW... the samples I have taken are kind of harsh, but very stoney. I gotta find out where I can get the molasses from to help that.
