How many people here have seen the televised perfection known as The Wire? It's an HBO show that had its series finale a couple months ago but it is, by far, the best television drama of the last two decades.

The show revolves around the drug trade in Baltimore and the attempts of the police to stop it. No description can do it justice, everything from the complex characters to the violence, you cannot take your eyes away from the television. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone, it's a little known show but absolutely amazing. Its best to start from the first season if you can, since a lot of the main characters evolve as each season pases.

i salute you man!!..i'am a BIG fan absolutely love the show...i'm gutted its finished..but am currently rewatching the whole series again!...whos your favorite character?have you seen all the series?ifso what did you think of the conclusion?(i dont want to spoil anything if you havent seen it all!)...my all time best series ever...better than the sopranos,friends,six feet under,the unit even startrek deepspacenine!...awesome so glad theres another fan out there!.my favorite character apart from bubs,snoop,bodie,mcnulty that sly old devil lester freemon,ziggy,herc oh shit impossible to say!!!...best series ever loved it!!!..which season did you like most?
edit i must be a fan i've got all the versions of "way down in the hole" from each season on my ipod!!

Damn I've never been more sad to see a shows finale than the Wire. It's my favorite show of all time, got all the seasons on DVD, except 5 since it ain't out yet. My favorite character was Chris Partlow, he was a straight killa! I liked Omar too, he's the only gay character i've ever really liked. Freeman was cool too, & of course Bubs. I liked Michael too, was sad to see take over Omar's role in the streets though!
