So I've read a few pages back, browsed the internet read reviews, read over the sites and I have no frigging clue which vaporizer would be best for me to buy.
I've looked at the Vapir one 5.0 - its gotten realllllly mixed reviews and I've even watched videos on youtube of it showing mixed performance.
Looked at the Vapolution - looks like a propane tank or something but got general over all good reviews.
then I've looked at a few of the box ones with heating elements and inhalation whips.
Was just kinda wondering if anyone had some input on which ones are a solid buy as far as consistency and dependability go as well as effectivness. Trying to stay in about a 200 dollar price range as well, so any input would be awesome guys/gals!
Thanks!!
edit: I've been told I pretty much need to avoid anything in which the weed just sits on a heating element, need to go for something where there is hot air actually being drawn across the weed.

I've been told I pretty much need to avoid anything in which the weed just sits on a heating element, need to go for something where there is hot air actually being drawn across the weed.Yes. #1 requirement for a good vaporizer-CONVECTION. I'd stay away from the Vapir One unless you really want direct draw AND bag use and just can't afford $250 for a herbalAire or $300 for an Extreme. When you have a fan (with previous reliability issues) AND digital display, combined with a 90 day warranty, it's a risky buy.
The Vapolution is great if you want a vape that gives good performance at home and is portable too. The hits aren't as big as with a standard whip vape-the bowl is too narrow. It also doesn't do well with fine, loose herb because it uses a glass dimple for a screen. But I've used mine for 2 yrs. with no real problems with the glass screen and it gives nice, smooth hits.
If you don't need portable use, I'd look at the Silver Surfer or the new offering from the same company, Da Buddha. I've got the Surfer and it's my favorite all time vape. Great hits, solid construction, and very reliable.

Awesome thanks for the tip.
I'll probably be going with Da Buddha then just 10 dollars more then the Vapolution and I've heard nothing but good stuff about the SSV. So I figure its the best option all around.
You were saying that I should avoid the vapir because of the warranty (generally after all my reading I agree). However, aren't the warranties on these things voided by the fact that you use an illegal substance int hem?

The name brand manufacturers will honor the warranty if you clean the vape as well as you can. It's not even an issue for some models. Most whip type vapes don't collect residue-it's in the whip, and you don't need to return that. The cleaning info is on their site or in the instructions/manual. Some tell you flat out that if they receive a vape that hasn't been cleaned they'll send it right back. I've never heard a single instance of a cleaned vape being turned away. They usually have a disclaimer -'not sold for vaporizing illegal substances', but they know what the primary use is. If they used the 'cannabis residue excuse' (after the owner did a good cleaning job) to avoid honoring a warranty, word would get around and their business would suffer. I had a problem with my herbalAire last year (probably caused by my sloppy cleaning job). That model does collect some residue, and although I cleaned it, I couldn't remove all traces by any means. They said to ship it back and as soon as I let them know I shipped it, they shipped me a brand new one-the whole kit.:dance:

I have returned a used vape. If they can't smell or find anything on it, then they will take it back.

If they can't smell or find anything on it, then they will take it back.Even if they can, if you've made your best effort to clean it, there shouldn't be a problem. Certainly don't return anything you don't have to-whips, bowls, bags, etc.
