i'm planning a trip to amsterdam with me and my girlie's and we are all very different people with a wide rang of interests, what i need to know is where should we be going? what are the must see's and must do's of amsterdam? all suggestions will be much appreiciated as we need variety for my birthday trip! :jointsmile:

I got a couple things I really loved in Amsterdam.

1. Check out the Rijksmuseum. Go to the Van Gogh museum if you have time as well!

2. Take a canal boat tour of Amsterdam. It's really nice and you can get some good pictures. See my thread on Beautiful Amsterdam.

3. The sexmuseum. Especially with the girlie it'll be a good time!

4. There's a local restaurant, I wish remember the name, serve local stampot. It's really good, expensive, but a nice place to take your girlie!

My bad. I was gonna mention take a look at all the prostitutes by the windows, dunno why it slipped my mind, thank god it did!

Dude. get yourself some FEBO....DO NOT MISS OUT ON THAT!!!! Leidsplein is where the good bars are, such as the Melkweg and i think the Sugar factory ... the city is pretty self explanitory, rent a bike and you'll be alright...Vondel Park is cool... The Heineken Brewery is a good bet.... and the architecture is freakin awesome

Amsterdam has a number of good clubs and new ones are opening all the time. Some of the most famous are The Paradiso (Weteringschans 6â??8), and The Melkweg ( Lijnbaansgracht 234) they're always good spots at weekends.
Amsterdams biggest and most famous club is Escape which is on the Rembrandtplein which runs different nights each month as well as it's regular Saturday â??Chemistryâ?? night which is very famous and hugely popular, attracting some big names in the international DJ world. The queues outside can be huge so get there early to avoid them.
