Whats Up? I was wondering if anyone got put me on the right path to talk to a glass blower about getting some custom work done. I live in Charlotte North Carolina, would be willing to drive a little bit to meet or pay for the shipping, If anyone could please help I would very much appreciate it!
Been trying to get some nice glass for a while now!!

I'm in the same situation. I'm in Raleigh, NC and I asked a question similar to this a while back. Someone responded about a place in Chicago that would take and ship custom orders or something and never got back to me when I asked for specific contact information.
A quick google search reveals a lot of places like Custom Glass Home Page (http://www.customglassblowing.com/) for instance. I've thought about trying to call one of those sorts of places up and describing what I want. But then of course it would be pretty obvious what I'm going for. :rasta: I could always say it was for tobacco or whatever. I'm just not entirely comfortable drawing attention to myself like that though. I don't know... I'm still thinking about it.

Hey folks, just wanted to remind everyone that we REALLY try to avoid putting up store links. But as you can see, custom glass DOES exist.
You should do a Google search, and possibly visit a local head shop to see if any of their local suppliers will do a custom order. That would be my personal choice, because working with a local blower lets you sit down together and sketch stuff before agreeing to commission the piece.

Thanks for the responses!! I have asked my local store, but they're not very friendly, I was get one worded answers. It just seems to be that they know they are the only place to get decent glass in my area so that dont care to help me much. I am know there has to be a blower close by atleast in with a couple hour drive. Would love to go and talk to the blower while he does his work and smoke alitte and just watch art take place!!

Hey, i dont know of any close to you but try going to local arts and crafts stores. Thats where i first saw the glass blower in my town. He did not have pipes there but when i bought a mushroom charm he was like "I have other things at my house, and i trade for hemp"

Artists are the best, I've got a really nice blower where I'm at, I'm getting ready to commision and large gandalf with a specific color scheme.
