Never post when high...forgot pics...I like to cut out my bottom of the net pots..no chance of girdling then...2 of the 4 have root bumps on them..not bad for being taken 69 day in flower...Nice and simple....

Hey Gang,
I'm happy to say, clones have roots as of today..Guess which ones they are...the top row, those two so far...Started them the 12th, roots today..and today is the 20th...to me thats not too bad for a plant 70 days in flower...Gotta love the Hawaiian Snow...

Next to try is the THUNK (ThaiHazexSkunk)..not my idea..started over at ICmag..

how come you cloned them from a flowering plant?

I haven't been at this too long so what do i know, but from what i understand it'd be better to clone a vegging plant that isn't so close to the end of the life cycle.

I suppose if you 24/0 them they'll revert to veg after a few weeks...but it seems it would be quicker to clone a veg and forget about forcing it back into veg.

again, i may be wrong, but all my experiences and research have lead me to believe that it's better to clone a vegging plant.

cool cloner unit, i built a mini bubbler cloner. had some trouble getting them to root the first few attempts but now i'm at about 80% success with it.

Good question...I'm a rookie grower and my thoughts are I like a "Mature" clone...I may be way off base, but it just seems to be a stronger plant from there on...
Thanks for the props to the cloner...this time it worked the best had to say something..LOL..I grow in small quarters so I dont mind...For my head only...
I'd say you have it down pat with 80% results...I hope to do as well...

Next time I would take the clones before you flower. Or as soon as you can tell sex. Taking them this late in the cycle is ill advised. Although, two of them have rooted I think you said. But earlier is better.

You can just re-veg the plant your about to harvest. In about 3-4 weeks youll have enough growth to take some clones from it. Peace

Yeah, I know, I know...but like I said all I have is time...and my stock is of good genitics...so all is well...

Sounds like a cool variety.

People are right though about taking cuttings during the flowering stage though. This will not give you a more "mature" clone, it will only make it much more difficult to get rooting and keep healthy, and may result in a small, spindly mother. It's much better if you can take your cuttings from a strong plant that's in the veg state. Not only will it be much easier, but the chances for a strong healthy plant are much better.

I'm glad you found a system that works well for you, but with just a little tweaking you get that 80% success rate up to about 99.9%. Cool cloner, thanks for sharing. I've just made a new one too. Thread and log coming soon, probably.

Thanks Opie...I'm sure you guys are correct and I appreciate that aspect...I usually like to take my clone(s)early as well, but have found it does work for me taking late in flower...kinda an after thought on a couple of these...Stoner that I am...no memory left as well..

i like your little sugar box cloner, what it that that your using for a dome? i also wanted to thank you for sharing and putting pics up too, they really help. lol, actually, if i had read your thread last week i might not have built my own little cloner and instead built 1 or 2 like yours.

anyway, from everything i've read, and i'm anally retentive when it comes to reading and researching a subject i'm interested in, revegging a flowering plant is more difficult, more time consuming and more likely to fail. in other words, all the advice you've been getting is right on the money. here is something i read in my slog up the learning curve (from the dear departed Overgrow.com);

"Yes, but a cutting taken while the stock plant is flowering will need to be forced to revert back to a vegetative state under 24 hour light. This causes additional stress, slowing growth and development. Rooting may take up to three times longer when the cuttings are taken during the flowering cycle. The cutting may not have enough stored nutrients or carbohydrates to survive. If you must do this then take the cutting when the mother plant is only a week or two into flowering.

Additional comment...
The above "flowering plant" is to be taken verbatim.
However, the above should not to be confused with a sexy mom who has been showing her primordia aka pre flowers while vegging, and has been kept in a vegetative state of growth for several months or years. These old mature primordia displaying moms clone just as well as a premature seedling."

Thanks...bozo..the dome I use comes from the different cheese cakes and sweets one buys at the super market...added a couple of holes...now you can make a spare cloner...

I thank you and everyone for their points of reference and will take this into consideration the next time...I am a rookie and will readily admit it..I have learned more on this forum than any other in these last several years...my thanks again to all...
