RE: Hair Test - Myth and Advice

So I have a hair test coming up in about two weeks, at the beginning of May. I just found this out recently. The test is for a job. Here's my problem:

I had never smoked pot (or anything else) until March of this year. Smoked about three times, in three weeks and only had about 3-4 hits each time. I got a buzz at most. I haven't smoked since.

Since I didn't smoke a great amount, will a detox shampoo work? Or should I bleach my hair twice and so on? What shampoos actually work?

I have an acquaintance who took the same test, with the same company. He has a history of pot and cocaine, but shaved his hair in a panic. Apparently, it worked and he passed.

I don't have that option, however. Please, what would you all suggest?

You should pass with no treatments.

Use Zydot shampoo the day of the test if it makes you feel better.

You think so, Jerry? When I initially found out it would be a hair test, I of course looked online in a frenzy about hair analysis. The "trace amounts" such a test picks up has gotten me frightened. You think I'll remain under the cutoff levels?

I think I will use Zydot, simply because I am that paranoid. Thank you for your advice.

Three uses in a 90 day period should be below the cutoff.

While the test is very sensitive, it is not zero tolerance.

Thanks again, Jerry. I do feel a lot better. After reading some more on the forums, I was thinking of using the Mac method a few times and then Zydot for sure.

yea you should be fine i would rather bleach and redye your hair then do the mac method ... but u should be fine with just zydot method

I had my cousin, a pharmacist, do some research and she reported that hair analysis is not as accurate as many believe. And that the amount I smoked would show up as very little. She says I'll pass without a problem, but I'm still damn paranoid.

But, I recently heard that the cutoff levels have been lowered even more. Anyone heard the same?

i think the cutoff level is 1 mn/gl ? or something like that im not too sure if i said that properly lol.... but just buy the zydot and use that to a tee on day of test and ur good buddyy :jointsmile::thumbsup:

Cutoff levels were lowered for THC several years ago.

Cutoff levels for some other substances were lowered last year.
