Ok, so i know when harvest is coming up the hairs turn amber [but you look at the trichomes to determine when to cut down] my question is, if the hairs are just starting to turn amber how long til you think i would harvest cuz i gotta about 1/2 a month until i move back home from my house up at school and i gettin nervous they wont be done.:(
**EDIT**
Dry/Cure isnt an issue

Seems to be three viable options...
1) Have someone continue the grow while away...
2) Harvest them at the last minute, and bemoan the tragic timing...
3) Harvest them at the last minute, and be thankful you've got the knowledge and ability to grow more at a later date.
p.s. I wouldn't share any with your parents, if they won't even let you grow at home.

What are some common variable i can look into to make sure there isnt some issue prolonging my grow, watering is fine, its prob got just barely enough room to grow, but its passed the point where its continuing to grow more green and such so that shouldnt be an issue and the temperature is optimal...lighting is get and on schedule

You've just asked one of vaguest question you could ask. If your plants aren't having any issues aside from the rate at the hairs are turning amber then I'd say you're doing fine.
Pictures are worth a thousand words.
Honestly the questions you're asking are very basic and can be solved with the simplest of searches.
Your grow is only going to progress as fast as it can given it's environment. That's probably the best answer as anyone can give you in regards to how long it's going to take for it to be done.
You never even mentioned how long you've been in flowering, what your lighting/ventilation setup is, whether you're using CO2, whether you're in hydro or soil. All these are a factor when determining rate of growth and even then NOTHING is definite as it depends on the care the plants receive from the grower and even then still it depends on what nature is going to do.
Given your situation I would say Rusty's probably given you the best answer anyone here is going to be able to give you.
My advice... in about 2-3 days.. Start flushing with 3x the Pot size once every 3 days.
Regardless of when or how they'll be ready 2 weeks is not enough time for recovery, new growth spurt and flushing. So make due with what you have and just try to plan your next grow out a little better.

your right my bad, my last pictures were in the thread below {2nd Grow} i forgot there was no info or picture of my grow in this new one. They have been flowering for like a month+ now, id say month and 1/2, the buds seem developed but the amber is just coming in, not on trichomes, on the hairs. and my last was done about this time and i fear theres gunna be another month til these ladies will want me to harvest them.....i do have a friend stayin up here over summer, so that should take my worries away about not being able to water and such. Its a closest grow with a blanket sealing up the opening, air in the bottom, out the top. Im not using nutrients really anymore....i dunno maybe im just being impatient but i deff feel like this grow should be ready to harvest by now

Is there anyway you can transplant outdoors for the remaining 4-6 weeks of your grow and just guerilla grow?
4-6 weeks is immature for harvest in most cases.
Amber hairs can happen if they dry out also, doesn't necessarily mean it's maturing which is why you want to harvest based off of trichome color.
I hope you get something figured out.

If I read correctly you are 5 or 6 weeks into 12/12??? If so you should be OK as most strains are 7 to 8 weeks flowering. That would seem to coincide with your schedule.

Yea, im about that far along, maybe more. Everything seems ok, just the hairs are starting to turn amber now and compared to my last grow they started ambering like 2 weeks later. Would hotter temperatures cause slower growth? Cuz the difference from my last grow is there was more opening on my closet then now. I have a comforter open it instead of a couple towels like i did my last grow. I do have ventilation tho. In the bottom, out the top [room air, but imma change it around so air from outside comes in see if that cooler temp helps]

Unfortunately it still may have to harvest early, i got a couple weeks left [like 2-3] for it to get closer to finishing, but I think ill prob have to harvest as the trichomes are just turning cloudy:(
