first off dont get mad this is a stupid post i know i could find out what i need by looking through old posts but i find this way is always quicker nearly , but anyway , do you have to be an american citizen to obtain this card ,or get a doctors letter ,how easy is it to get , i just go to the doctor tell him i have migranes and back pain and he'll sign something for me and i bring it to an outlet along with a photo of me for the card ?? i moving out to new york soon is new york pro medical marijuanna ??

You have to be a resident of a state that has a medical marijuana law, New York currently does not have any medical marijuana laws. There is a bill in New York that passed in the general assembly, but it sounds that it won't have a chance passing in the senate.

But in other news, I found this which, if passes, would basically legalize medical marijuana for the entire country. I doubt it will pass, but it's interesting to read!

Get a copy of your medical records. Get a place to live in California. Get an electric bill. Get about $200 together. Get the name of the closest "cannabis friendly doctor. Get an appointment. Get your records, bill and money to the doctor. Wait one hour. You are legal!
