Anyone here ever heard of or read any books by Castaneda? He was an anthropology student who was studying traditional Mexican/Indian use of entheogens and travelled to Mexico to meet a man who knew a lot about it named Don Juan. Anyways, this guy turns out to be this mystic guru hallucinogenic plants/spirituality expert, and Castaneda lives with him for like 2 years and takes a ton of shrooms and datura and mescaline and records all of his trips and what Don Juan taught him. He wrote like, 5 books I think from it, I've read three of them I think, and theyre incredibly interesting. My English teacher actually gave them to me. Y'all need to check it out.

I did read some of them, and liked all of them very much!
He did write about 10 books. I did read the 5 first ones and the last one, and they are amazing indeed! They are among the best books i ever read in my entire life.
There is also other members of cann.com who did read it... try to search castaneda in the forums, or look at:

Also, there is a site where all the "teachings" of all the books were compiled, so you can read them all, even without having the books. Look at:
Carlos Castaneda's don Juan's Teachings (http://www.prismagems.com/castaneda)
And enjoy...
