High, my name is Tyler. I grew up with ADD as a child. I struggled through school as a young one and now I struggle with every day activities, as well as work, that require certain processes of thinking which are difficult to me which I honestly believe are caused by my ADD(Attention Deficit Disorder) that still axists as an adult. As a child I constantly had doctor visits, being prescribed riddlin. As the riddlin did not work as they hoped, they kept increasing my dosage, still having no affect. I would fall asleep on the couch when I got home from school as I was worn out by it's effects. I also experienced instant motion sickness especially just by taking a 5 minute drive pretty much anywhere.
My question is, Can you be perscribed cannibis for ADD in adults?
I am a firm believer this can help me!

Any information will be much appreciated, Thank you.

Tyler.

It really helps me be able to focus on things like I never could before. Tests don't frustrate me anymore. I use to get bad grades even though I knew the material because I couldn't concentrate. Now I have almost a 4.0. It makes college a breeze for this hyperactive girl.

but can a Medical card be issued for ADD in adults?? I have plenty of medical history as a child to prove it.

Good luck man,

There have been several studies on ADD/ADHD and cannabis (click the link below for some). Get your medical records and the cash (I've never seen over $250 being asked for the initial visit, and I've seen way lower), then find a local cannabis-friendly doctor at NORML's California site. Make an appointment, talk with the doc, pay the receptionist, and walk out "California legal". That's it!

As long as you have the medical records showing that you have a LEGITIMATE medical condition, you will be approved! - Granny:hippy:

I definatley have proof since I was a child. I have been prescribed riddlin and some other blue pill that also did not work.
I am taking this issue very seriously and am considering medical marijuana to be the answer.

I also found this link to be interesting, explains ADD in children and adults.

I sure have become a lot more aware of things since I started. So yeah, it really does help you concentrate on things.

The only bad thing about it is that sometimes I run out. I definitely don't have a problem with going a few weeks without though. Just sucks when I could use it for a headache or to help me sleep and I don't have any.

No more "running out! When you get legal, you can grow! I just space my plants about 2+ weeks apart for a perpetual harvest. 3 in veg and 3 in the 12/12 closet.

You should never more than 6 plants per person - do you trust a cop to know the difference between a day old seedling and a "mature plant"?... I sure don't! If you only have 6 plants (rather than the 12 "immature" plants the law allows) there is NEVER a "maturity" question.

Tyler.

you should be checking with the MMJ Doctors in your area, I feel your pain Bro, as I was also diagnosed with ADD at the age of 8 and by the time I was 11 it got worse I won't go into the details of my life but this I will say; "I started smoking pot at 10 years of age and had I not I would probably have commited suicide, I also have Bi Polar disorder which also seems to be helped by MJ I am now 51 and I Have a degree in the Culinary Arts which I would have never received, had it not been for the weed.:stoned:

Im glad to hear someone else benifiting from mmj. I was also looking up some other info about add. I believe I may also have something called RBS (racing brain syndrome). Too much anxiety and overthinking can cause a lot of nurvous thinking with no end result. Think of your brain as a thinking pump that is only effective at a certain paced speed. When that pump is over powered and stressed, you get no result. This is why I am so glad that marijuana can straighten this issue out for me and I can finally think straight, calm and efficiently.

Im waiting for a check to get in the mail and then im going to make the trip to the docs office in Riveride, CA.

Wish me luck! Thankyou!

That sounds quite relevant to what im trying to explain actually, same subject, but im focusing on the "Focusing" part.
IE: concentrating on a big decision, thinking about something complicated, trying to remember things in bunches (food orders) etc...

hey man, I have a very similar story to yours... I am a medical patient for ADD (and a back injury but that's irrelevant here) and I went through all the pharm drugs as a kid in junior/high school and that had a real negative effect on me... i started smoking weed to balance out the nasty effect of adderall, ritalin, etc. and after a while realized it was just the herb i needed... went from a struggling student that many said would never graduate to graduating a quarter early with decent grades and holding down a steady job at the same time (all while smoking an 8th a day).... I especially know about RBS... I self-diagnosed myself with that a while back... good luck on the rec., just bring some paperwork from your old doc and you pretty much got it...
