how bad is it???

I got busted about an hour ago driving home for window tint and got busted with prolly 3g and 2 pieces and also for my tint. Only a minor speeding ticket previous on record! just got b honor if that will help. I live in Minnesota. Any help would be great!!! Thank You!

What you did wrong is give him consent to search your vehicle.

He most likely said "Mind if I take a look in your vehicle?"
You answer, and most everyone elses answer is most likely yes because your nervous about your stash most likely.
What people dont know is that you can say no to a search. and if he says he smells marijuana, you say I dont smell anything. Same situation as if it were your house. They need a warrant or probable cause to search your vehicle ie: a reason to think you have a gun or weapon of some sort. Sorry but tinted windows are not a reason for them to search your vehicle.
Also remember, if he asks you to exit the vehicle. Lock it behind you and dont leave it open for him to just walk in. He cant say you must have something to hide because you locked your door behind you.
YOU CAN SAY NO! yes you actually have this kind of power to say no to the police.
