What up guys, I just bought the extreme vaporizer from Greatvape.com. I watched the video on youtube and it looks very impressive. I know there hasn't been much talk about this vape but I was just wondering if someone here has tried it before. I know I already bought it but I was just wondering. I'll post a short review after I get it next week if anyone is interested. - James

I've used it in the manual whip mode. A little too much airflow to compete with the richer hits from a good standard whip vape, but it beats herbalAire for direct draw, so it's hands down the best vape that'll do bags or whip style.

Are they still not telling you in the instructions that the display reflects the heating element temp and not the temp of the air when it enters the bowl? Those high numbers on display are gonna lead some users astray. :(

I see you got a great price at greatvape. :thumbsup: I didn't know they were selling that model.

-Bag use is great, get about 2 full bags per bowl
-Whip use is great as well, perfect temp (315-335)
-Flavor is Fantastic!
-Remote is a key feature, especially for heating oils and such

Overall I've had no complaints at all and it has been an awesome experience using this vape so far...I would recommend this vape to anyone...well worth the $290 spent!

Glad you like it. Seems like almost everyone that buys it gives it a :thumbsup:. Your temp statement needs a qualifier with this vape though. Most people familiar with vaping temps would take 315-335 to mean F, and that would be a little low for a prime vaping temp. On the Extreme, 340 is the setting the builder recommends, but that's C, not F. And it's the heater temp, not the vaping temp. :wtf:

The remote seemed like overkill and a gimmick when I first saw it had one, but I keep hearing that it makes things a lot easier. I know doing setup on my TV without the factory remote is an 'extreme' pain.

Hey papawood,

I just ordered an Extreme Vape as well, and I was wondering what your opinion on it is now, as you've had it for a little while. I also got it from Greatvape, which is a site I would most definitely recommend (for anybody browsing this). They threw in a free vapor genie, which I suppose is a temporary special they currently have going. I haven't had a chance to test it out just yet, but I'll post my experience whenever I get a chance.

I am considering buying an Extreme Vape but I was wondering what is the minimal amount of herb needed to run it. It is sometimes long stretches of very short supplies around here and I need to know if I can just use a small pinch or does it have to be a full bud? This will be my first vaporizor and I have done a lot of research but I just like how the Extreme looks and what it is made of and the fact it can do both baq and whip. I have had friends that said the Vapolution is the best for small amounts. Money is not a problem but I prefer the whip to the bag but I want the option for when my friends are here and I have enough bud. What do you guys or gals think? Thanks

I am considering buying an Extreme Vape but I was wondering what is the minimal amount of herb needed to run it. Any amount will do, but the smaller the load the thinner the vapor will be. The Extreme has a pretty large bowl and airways, so a small load won't provide much visible vapor.


I have had friends that said the Vapolution is the best for small amounts.I've been using a Vapo for a couple of years. I'd agree that it used to be the best for small amounts, but the new Purple-Days vape now has it beat for efficiency. It's tops for efficiency and using small, measured loads. It also never burns your herb, which can be a problem with the Vapolution.

I just got the extreme and it is amazing. No wasted vapor at all. You completely control the vaporizing. There are 4 fan settings off 1 2 3 and its great for whipstyle vaping. You can also fill bags and there is absolutely no vape loss. I have a vapir 5.0 and this thing blows it away. I bet this thing is even better than the volcano just from all the videos I have seen. Loading your herbs is very easy, plus you can monitor the browning out of your herbs. I recommend this item for sure. Vaporizers in general give you more out of your herbs anyhow.

Ok, a bit of clarification. Vapefiend is a mod over at fuckcombustion.com. His name there is Max. I frequent that site quite often, and my name there is the same as it is here. If you go over to that site, you will see Max and I communicating in the same thread, and believe me, although I may have some quirks, I do NOT talk to myself.......haha.

The ONLY reason that I suggest a visit to that site is for a few reasons:
One, is that it is a vapor site ONLY.
Two.........a LOT of experienced vapers there.
Three.......a LOT of the owners and inventors of the various vapes mentioned here actually visit with us there, and some ask for input on their models as well as requesting some of us to do beta testing on their new models

Basically, it has more info and reviews on vaporizers than ANY other site on the internet, because it is dedicated to vaporizers so why wouldn't I suggest a look-see to those looking for more info on specific vapes.

You also state that you NEVER said that the Volcano is the best vape on the market, and yet, here are a few quotes from you:

I'm showing that 2 or more individuals created multiple names and then posted in here. You and vapefiend plus the other names you created/friends of yours posted to prove your point. I put you and vapefiend by name because you're the two who most often argue with me and say how horrible the cano is compared to everything else. No one cares how many vape users go to that other site because this is a medical MJ site and this is just an extension of the site so we don't have to be the holy god of vape info here. I thought the same thing, but the remote is really pretty helpful. I don't own the extreme (yet), but use a friend's that he got recently after selling his volcano. It has a few small buttons on the tower, I haven't even bothered to look closely enough to see what they do. The best part of the remote is switching between the 0, 1, 2, and 3 fan settings. This works particuarly well when using a whip because you must turn the fan on as you begin to hit it and hit 0 to turn it off as you stop hitting it. Also, you can fill bags or turn the power on/off from across the room, which never hurts.

how could a remote control ever be a bad thing? i mean, sure the tv doesn't need one either, but how many tv's can you buy now without one?!

you can get a freaking battery pack for the thing that will fill ~12 ballons or can be used "all" weekend if you do vapor on demand. and that doesn't apply to all of your stoner asses!!!

I got my Extreme two weeks ago, after sending a "box" vape I ordered online back. The difference is amazing. I began with the whip attachment. I do think the hits are a little "leaner" than on my buddies box vape -- but the fan is awesome.

I like to use the whip and turn on the fan with the remote to blow power hits on the medium and high-speed settings. You get a much better hit than from just pulling without the fan assist.

I found the balloons to be awesome as well, although I'm waiting for a new mini-whip as I dropped it on my tile floor and broke it. Also, I broke one of the Cyclone bowls -- they give you two with the unit -- when it fell from four feet onto to the tile. I ordered both from Arizer in Canada on April 1, and am waiting for them to arrive.

Last week, I contemplated upgrading again to the digital volcano but I've shelved that idea since I've started to figure this thing out. I like the Extreme more and more each time I use it... just keep the glass off the tile.
