With the smell of fresh flowers in the air, warmer days, birds chirpping, and the frequent rains it must be that time of the year. SPRING IS HERE!!!!

Well Now that my 2nd grow is coming to a close and I have identified my best plants for mothers it is time to start my summer grow's:)

I already have 47 rooted cloans that have been in what I would call suspended growth for a month. What happened was my second grow timing was off by a month, so with limited space I had to slow growth to minimum by very limited waterings, I cut watering down to untill the plant was about to wither before I watered. This may have been benificial now that I think about it by subjecting them to drought conditions early in life may prepare them for summer around here.

Well my first plot crop is in the veg box under 24/0 and transplanted into 2 gallon buckets using a soil mix of 1 bag MG Organic soil and 8 qt's perilight. ( slight upgrade in soil this time around )

I am currently feeding every other watering FF nutes ( 2 tsp. Grow Big, 2 tbls. Big Bloom, 1 tsp. Pro PH Down. [ for ph correction from tap water ] I water with a ph of 6.0, worked great last grow so I am not changing a thing this grow nute wise.

Currently they are under my 400 watt MH and will be moved to my flower box when my second grow is done at which time I will change over to a veg box by putting my MH bulb in and swiching to 24/0. They will remain there until the first part of June then out they go. Then the next crop moves in, and so on, for 3 to 4 rounds.

Well this first round consists of the very best of both grows, 5 Purple Power, 5 Bluberry, 2 Mystery #15, Plus 2 WW #6 mothers that were added due to thinning of my stock. I am only going to keep WW#4 and WW# 9 as mothers. These are Bonzi mothers so they are going to bush out to Monsters this summer, I can't wait till August to see them. In fact I will more than likely rotate all my mothers this summer, so I will get several monsters going this summer.

I am going to post pics with descriptions next post.

Here are the pics of my purple power cloan's They have been transplanted for a week now and are finally responding to the more ideal conditions. Like I said earlier they were in suspended growth for a month.

I have already started LST on them and they have starting too look very healthy again.

Well here are the pics. Next the Blueberry Family

How tall do you usualy start your LST ?

Well the same discription applies to these cloans as the Purple Power.

The mystery #15 decription is the same but this was not in my last grow. She is an excellent plant ( She is a MF to cloan though very low servival rate ) She is #2 of my over all favoites at this point.

Now the WW#6 moms these plants are original cloans and the same age as my 2nd grow plants that are being harvested currently. So that puts them at 133 days old from rooting. They have had multiple hair cuts to keep them this size:) so they are literally 16'' tall shrubs just waiting to explode with growth.

Essen,

Thanks for stopping in. To answer your question.

I started LST as soon as I transplanted this grow due to the stems were already startng to harden, I managed to keep them less than 8'' tall all this time. But ideally I do it when 6'' tall and on 4th or 5th set of leaves.

Diahashi, Thank you for that compliment:) I am really looking forward to this, This is Gonna be a lot of fun putting all the skills I learned from this site to work on hopefully some mind blowing grows:)

Well they have started to really take off, and recovered very well. Current nutes FF Grow Big 2 tsp., BigBloom 2Tbs, Pro PH Down 1 tsp.

Responding very well to LST with some really nice side shoots.

lookin really good man.. I'm about to start LST myself. What are you using to tie them down? What are they attached to? Maybe I'm blind but its kinda hard to tell from the pics.

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

These are the mother plants that I am rotating. They are responding nice to the new light:)

I could put them in the ground anytime now.

Zeb, All these plants are destin for the great outdoors.

Bombdiggity, I use wire coat hanger cut into 8'' lengths, then bent at one end like a hook. Then just push the hook into the soil where you need it.

I'm looking forward to another excellent grow and log. The last one is great.

I'm looking to trying BB in my next grow.
Also, I use the same wire "hooks" for training the branches, except I use scrap solid #12 electrical wire.

Thanks for stopping by everyone:)

I expect this to be a great grow log so here is my plan. I plan to have several locations going and visit as little as possiable, ( this keeps trails to the grow to a minimum and to keep thievens at bay, several grows just in case one is found). The longest I will go is 2 weeks max between visits depending on rain. I look for locations that have a tree line going east to west and plant on the south side. You get maximum direct sun exposure in this location in my hemisphere. Another must is a water source nearby.

Today I am going to scope out an electrical easement I saw driving by the other day. I usually do not like this location in the countryside because they are very popular locations for hunters in the fall. But this location no hunting is permitted so it looks promising.

I was just wondering do you think that hurts the roots at all? I feel like I'd be pushing the hanger through a whole bunch of roots

Bombdigity,

It may harm a few roots out of hundreds, so it is so minimal that the plant never even notices. Put it this way you could compare it to a pin prick.

Keep in mind a MJ plant is concidered a weed and is very resiliante to almost anything you can throw at it.

Another option is for him to drill a few holes in the rim of the pot to tie down his plants. Though be careful because doing this will weaken the strength of the rim of the pot.

Personally I'll be doing the wire coat hanger method next time. I tried bamboo skewers and yarn.. didn't work out so well last time. Got the job done but it was admittingly a pain to do it that way.

Well it has been awhile since I updated this but nothing has really changed except I stopped LST a week ago. and let them go vertical and now are under my 600w MH, soaking up the light. I am about to do a major pruning of the small branches and take cloans for the next crop, plus top the bigger branches to get the plant to bush up.

So how long did you LST the plants for until you pulled the hooks out and how long did you keep vegging afterwards until you flowered?

I've learned a ton from your last log, by the way.

Well got some bad news for this log. I have come to the decision not go on with this grow.

I have considered all the risks involved and decided to shut down for now and work on a new grow box, upgrades to the ventalation, and a location in my house and start new from there. (I got so much yeild from my last grow that I am nowhere near running low) So I am going to keep some cloans going of the best of my current strains and I just ordered some Blue Apollo, and Blue Widow seeds from Joey Weed.

So stay aleart later this summer for a log by me starting from scratch.

Thanks Shov and all who are watching this log,

I do regret that I have to discontinue this grow.

After looking into the amount of exposure to prying eye's during transport to my vehical, then from my vehical to the grow plot. Plus living in a major metropolis where the police departments have big budgets and are hungry to justifiy them by busting growers like me, then inflating the value of the crop and putting it on the NEWS.
Not to mention where I live a seedling is considered "manufacturing of a controled substance" and can get you up to 25 years in prison with no parol. ( I know that is extream for a seedling but the way I planned to grow, it could deffinetly get me the max). I need to move :) Damn job won't let me yet :(

The good news is that I plan to continue to grow indoors:) I am going to move my grow area to the basement and build a nice stelthy and well designed grow room now that I have the time and money to put into it.

I am planning on doing a very thurough log of the construction of the grow box, and every step of the growing with the seeds I still have, plus I just placed an order from Joey Weed for Blue Widow and Blue Apollo ( I picked them because the cross of White Widow and Blueberry, and the cross of Apollo 11 and Blueberry look to make for some excellent all around smoke). Can taste it already.

So untill then I will contiue this log for you to answer any questions you have or wish to express anything.

Happy growing:)
