Well i am about 2 weeks into bloom on my second grow ever and have some questions. My first grow came to a screeching halt with the discovery of 10 hermaphrodites and confirmed pollination. It was sad.
This time around i am doing half in soil and half of the girls in COCO.
I am starting to see some yellowing of the leaves on some plants and on some the tips are yellow and the leaves are curled down. Here is what i am using.
foxfarm Ocean Forest w/ 25% perlite
Botanicare Bloom at 1/2 strength
Nitrozyme 1/4 strength
Sweet full strength
once every two weeks i hit them with Age Old Bloom (that has only happened once since i am only two weeks in.
Soil I am watering about once a week and feeding about once a week. One water, one feed.......
The Coco i am just now starting to rotate water/feed everyday. One day water the next feed.
Temps are 77 and 65.
600 W HPS
I started with full strength on all ferts and have backed off since the leaf curl.
Well water PH is around 6.5
Runoff Ph is about 7.0
I sprayed them all with a Baking soda (10%) and water (90%) solution to deal with Powdery Mildew, and burned the heck out of a lot of leaves. It took all of ten days and lots of sponging of leaves but they seem to have recovered from that torture.
After starting at full strength and seeing some not so happy leaves i flushed and then backed off. I flushed with about 10 gallons of water per 4 gallon pot.
Can anyone take a stab at why my leaves are not so celebratory? Thanks for taking the time to help.
Thanks to weedhound, Rusty and Stinky for helping me through the horror of my first attempt.

As phatsesh pointed out i forgot a few details.
Humidity is between 45-60%
Vent fan runs most of the light cycle which both cools the room and lowers humidity.
I think i got it all there.

Just a couple of questions...
Which are you having problems with...the soil grow, or the coco grow?
How much do you water, when you do water? In other words, do you get any run-off at all? Or do you water enough to have bunches of run-off?
Do you let the soil dry between waterings?
How many times in the past two weeks have you flushed them?
If having mold issues, how often do you foliar feed, or spray with plain water?
Do you have enough air circulation? (a dedicated fan, blowing on the ladies)
How close is the lamp from the tops?
Did you add 25% more perlite, or did it come with 25% perlite?

Here are the answers Rusty, thanks for the inquiry.
It is the soil girls that are giving me trouble. The COCO have only been in flower nine days and look nice still. I am afraid they will take a turn for the worst like the rest of the ladies. Most of what i have is soil.
I wait until the top inch of soil is dry and then i water with about 20% runoff. Anyone have a good way of deciding how much runoff is a good time to stop? I usually wait till i see water come out the bottom and then count to twenty.
I have flushed the girls once in the last two weeks. About 10 days ago.
The mold issues i was having were on two WW from my last grow that i left in the room. I was spraying them heavily and often with Serenade to prevent any migration of mildew to the other girls. That is why i also sprayed the Baking Soda on the new ladies. I have not had mold issues since, but the girls were covered in white(baking soda) the day after, and lots of burn occured on new and old growth.
I have a few fans in the room moving the air around. Two on the floor mixing the cold air and one on the canopy blowing over the top of the plants.
The lights i have are air cooled with 8" inch duct and are kept about a foot above.
I amended the soil with 25% more perlite. I had overwatering issues on my first grow and thought this would help. It seems to have.
I forgot to mention i have been foliar feeding everything except the girls i burned with the Baking Soda. Those are on half the room and the other half have been receiving Liquid Lights with Penetrator every four days for the first two weeks. My hydro guy said that would solve the early yellowing of leaves. I also used Reverse on day 1 and 10 of flower for the whole room.
I will try to post some pictures tonight when the ladies rise up.
Thanks again

Here are some pictures as i am hoping that might encourage someone to lend some wisdom to my rookie self. From the pictures it seems like they could all be different problems but ya'll will know better than I.
1. This is a Purple Cream in soil w/ yellowing leaves and crispy edges and tips. They are pointed down.
2. This is a WW in coco with leaves shaped like an upside down canoe. tiny burn on tips
3. This is a GDP that looked so healthy a week ago and is now yellowing and severely droopy leaves.
4. This is a WW X THC BOMB with a bad case of the claw
5. This is a picture of the GDP's leaf.
Any help or suggestions or even a "you suck" would, at this point, be appreciated. THANK YOU :stoned:

I'd be willing to bet that you got some baking soda (with it's ph of about 9-10) onto the soil and it's leached in and screwed up your soil ph pretty good. It may cause other issues as well but the soil ph is the first one I'd think of.......;)
Can you transplant to fresh soil? And I'd stop the nutes...ALL nutes and just go with water until they get straightened out. It's hard to tell what's what but I'm pretty sure there's overnute in there somewhere.

I'm always broke, so I prefer to not watch my nutes running out of the bottom, unless I want to check run-off ph. But then again, I add the water/nute mix to the soil, and flush every so often.

Is there a reason you only foliar feed? I occationally hear of folks doing it, but I have no experience with the technique.
My fears would be overworking the plant, causing leaf damage, increasing the probability of mold, and fears of what it would do long-term to the soil/roots/microbes. Without nutes in the water, and all of that run-off...likely not much for the plant to eat down there.
I do use foliar feeding to correct identifiable defeciencies, but usually keep the nutes in the soil, where the roots can do their job. Happy roots make for a happy plant.
Perhaps letting them go a bit longer between waterings, too. Moisture evaporates fairly quickly twords the top of the soil. Once you get ussed to the weight of the pots, it's easier to tell when it's time to water. The heavier the pot, the more moisture that's still tword the bottom.

Thanks for the suggestions people. It is so appreciated.
IF one of my posts made it sound like i only foliar feed, that is not the case.
I foliar about twice a week in the start of flower, but i feed the roots as well.
So i am of the thinking that the suggestions made by ya'll were probably right on.
PH, and maybe some over watering.
I have also noticed that in my bathtub where the water sometimes drips it is stained blue. Should i assume that is chlorine? and should i let my water sit over night before using it?
Happy weekend for those in the USA (and some that aren't):)

I also completely agree with Rusty about the foliar feeding. There are one or two products I use that I spray on the leaves with but only because they are made to be used that way only. Otherwise I stay strictly OFF the leaves themselves and limit all feeding to fertilizers etc that you add to the soil or hydro rez only.
PS....Rusty I LOVE the pic in your profile.
