If you're going to use a traditional p2p app then I would suggest dumping limewire and trying out "soulseek". It should be the first result if you google that.

I haven't used ss recently so I don't know how the current versions are or what the community is like but a couple years ago it was by far my favorite p2p application.

Otherwise I'd suggest using news groups, ftp, or torrents. Faster, easier, and safer.

I've had limewire for years now and it hasn't slowed up my computer at all.

I never tried lime wire but i tried a few others and they slowed my computr down big time, also started to get torjans and attacks on my pc every time i was on.
