Yep it's a festival I never miss...and only an hour or so from my house!
This year's lineup looks pretty sweet, but it's definitely lacking with the likes of OAR..haha

Blind Melon?? No shit. I saw them a couple of times while Shannon Hoon was still alive. My best friend is the guitarists nephew, so I actually got to meet the whole band a couple of times. My friend actually went to Indiana for Shannon's funeral, and wanted me to go with him, but I never did. I felt so bad for them. Hell, if my buddy plans on going this year, I'll definitely be there. Bit of a roadtrip for me, but worth it for some good tunes and the chance to catch up with an old friend.

So pumped for my first summercamp and happy to see moe., sts9, umphreys, p-funk, tea leaf green, lotus, hot buttered rum, flaming lips, the roots, ivan neville's dumpstaphunk, blind melon, u-melt, cornmeal, and girl talk all on the roster.
That being said I'm a little disappointed with the lineup, last years was far superior. G. Love, OAR, Clutch, and the New Pornographers don't belong. Here's hoping that yonder, leftover salmon and claypool/skerik/dillon/baldi get added.

I feel you on the disappointment to a certain degree man. It's still a sweet lineup though, and as much as I hate it, it looks like Jay Goldberg is broadening the spectrum of fans by adding bands like OAR, tNP, and so on. I am pumped that Umphrey's gets to close out Fri night too. That will so be the best show of the weekend.
Whether I like it or not, OAR will bring in a lot of new campers, which is good for business, yeah, but so not good for what Scamp represents. He's a greedy, unorganized douche from what I can tell, but hey what do I know.
I am honestly a lot more disappointed with the late-night announcements. Fucking Badfish, a no-name Sublime coverband, to close out the festival?!? I mean get real. No untz whatsoever too, which sucks (haha not if you count Future Rock, but eh they're not all that great). No Lotus or Tribe either. That is what is weak. It's all good thought becuase the w00kie w00ds is where I'll be partying.
A little more than a month away!! :D
