first grow!

hey all, decided to try my hand at an indoor grow. Currently i have 6 bagseed sprouts vegging in my bookshelf/growbox. Above the plants i have a 1300 lumen cfl, and a 940 lumen fluoro tube light. Im gonna be getting more lights soon so dont hate! Temp is a solid 77.2 F and today is the morning of day 3 and they are on 24/0 light cycle.

Hey all, here are the pics from today. I switched around their order a little bit to combat there twisting and turning towards the lights. I also added a pc fan to the side of the box and watered them today!

Is there drain holes in those cups? Put some tape (non-transparent) around those cups, roots don't like light, also I would not have multiple plants in same pot, most likely only one will survive.

when you transplant, be sure to get them closer to the top of the pot so you have better air flow at the base of the plant.

i was planning on switchin the cups probably tomorrow, i thought they would be fine until then cause the roots im sure are no where near the edges. I honestly didnt mean to put 2 seeds in one of the cups. I am still pretty sure that i didnt. Maybe i have got a new strain here the uh, "siamese kush" or somethin

Hello again, here i am on day 5. While i didnt transplant, i did put the old transparent cups into colored ones. I got another cfl and another smaller fluoro tube. so i mean there really is a shit load of light in there now! I am aware that my ventilation is pretty disgusting but in due time perhaps i will make it better. Ive got the temps at a solid 80 degrees.

Yeah, I started on march 25th, with germinating, so I don't know how close we are, I might be a few days ahead of you. but very similar. lets see a pic of your box!

Nice so far. Put some dirt all the way until just under the first set of leaves. they have stretched a little but roots will grow from the stalks when covered with dirt.

So today is the 1 week mark. Not too much growth but i plan on having a day by day log. Forgot to take a picture of the box, ill have that tomorrow :(! Anywho here are the pics i did get.

im transplanting, probably tomorrow and i am going to try and seperate them. I really didnt know that i had planted 2 seeds. Still a marvel to me :wtf:

In other news. I am starting the plants for 18/6 tonight. Prolly only do this a couple days and then go back to 24/0, would it be bad if i were to change the light periods like this?

Hey all it is day 10. Noticable growth so im happy :toilet_claw: Can anyone explain to me why the leaves are curling though:sadcrying? temps are about 82, cant seem to get it much cooler than that lately. I watered them today after the soil was dry as fuck. But yeah i guess later we'll see if they were dehydrated. By the way i DID get those droplets off the plants.

Well hello all. Day 11. I re-did my whole growbox now, lined it with reflective fire blanket :thumbsup:.

Growth continuing good, i transplanted 3 plants today. Im kinda worried about the first two i did, i have never transplanted. They'll prolly pull through though. Waiting til tomorrow to transplant the others. Anywho here are the pics, some of the plants have some spots on them but i think its alright. Probably just burned from droplets that i missed yesterday.

are you sure you want to go into 12/12. what are the gentics? if you dont mind me askin. usually one would induce the 12/12 onset at approx. 12-18 inches or when females dawn white pistil pre flowers. other wise everything looks great keep up the good log and keep track of the grow for good reluts. i am alos cunducting my own grow log you should check it out. one love....peace

Alas, day 14 has come as well as a growth spurt. 3 days into 12/12. Got some pics here transplanted all of them except for one. I need to drink the rest of somethin before i have a new pot haha. I know that having 2 plants in one pot is bad news, but i dont think i have enough space in my box for an additional 2 containers. Stinky said in some log to just train them away from each other and kill off the male if there is one so thats what im going for. Anywho, here are the pictures! Well cause my camera or somehin is dumb the size is too big for most of the pics, only 2 worked...

if small plants are what your shooting for then you are right on target. i also have done some small plants like this and it is fun way to grow, but i do suggest you growin. growing a full specimen

When i start my second grow i plan on being much more prepared and growing them bigger. Before starting this grow i was much too worried about being caught or my house searched or something to even think of growing...

but that was before i visited cannabis.com! So thanks to all the growers here at cannabis, you inspired me!

But yeah i basically got really motivated from looking at everyone elses grows and within 5 minutes made the hasteest <-- weird word grow box. This is merely a gung-ho- "test" - grow :D

Really where did you see these logs that were 12/12 from seed with good results? I looked around and couldn't find any. And the most recent one from Kbrandon is failing miserably.

Haha, alright. You said in Ausguy's log that "softwhite" cfl's were the good ones for flowering? I stood there in the lighting section of wal-mart for about 30 minutes looking for a lower spectrum that just said like 3500k on it or something, and i got all pissed off whenever i came by a softwhite light. Gah! Ill go pick some up later today and take some new pics

i noticed your use of "cointainers" i found that living in CA there are lots of wholesale plant farms... and they stock pile all size plastic pots .. i bought 10 one gallon 6 inch used pots for $4 thats .40 cents a pot and the larger pots are just as cheap. if all else fails you have th right idea party cups are cheap and in some cases free.. as for space you can fit for 6 inch pots in a square foot space

Alrighty, todays morning pictures.The box, when opened now smells of ganja. Seems rather early to me though. Im sure it will get much stronger. Im thinking of LST'ing soon, is it alright to do that once theyre on 12/12. I heard topping or FIMing was bad during flowering but i dont see how training the plants would do any damage

Not speaking from experience, but from everything I have read you may lst during flower. In fact I believe it is necessary for scrogging.

Ahoy fellow law-abiding citizens! 1 week into flowering 18 days total. I recently put one of those renuzit odor neutralizer things in front of my passive intake to try and combat the smell. Other than that, alls looking well! Heres the pics.

As to these being bagseeds, I have no clue as to the strain. More or less as to whether theyre sativa's, indica's, or hybrid's.

Any help as to ^ would be great!

well today will be the first day i dont post pics. I want all of you to be able to see some actual growth changes! Yes i will go ahead and put the neutralizer at the exhaust. I was worried about the fumes getting to the plants and what it would do.

Ok everyone! Notice i didnt post pics yesterday. Here are the ones from today. I chopped one of the plants cause it really wasnt doing well, and it had suffered injuries in the past :(. ie: getting caught in the fan blades... ripped leaves from me working around in the box... child neglect...

But on another note these have grown like fire and im glad to see more room in the box. When do you think i will be able to determine sex? Im hoping within the week. I don't have them on a fert yet but in due time folks! Along with some low spectrum bulbs. btw, my box is smelling awful nice. :jointsmile:

Well Mate,

I think you have a potassium deficieny with those purple stems, I had the same problem the first time i tried and a few days after i changed the soil from my compost pile ( the best soil ever, made form worm crap) the problem went right away, they are nice and green now

Update! I know ive been slacking a bit but ive just had a lot to do with work and such lately. But here are the pics.


In the 1st picture in the center it looks like a bud is forming?!? I have not seen any preflowers yet but it looks like theres a cola forming right there. They are in 12/12 but i wasnt sure if they were mature yet. Im happy as hell if that means ive got a female on my hands!

2 weeks into flowering on 4/20. I picked up a 42 watt low spectrum cfl from the cop INFESTED wal-mart last night. So now i have an additional 2600 lumens goin in the box. Today im buying a light splitter and another 42 watter so its gonna be hella bright in there! Here are the pics. The "bud" is still growin and is showing up on other plants as well.

Plants looking nice, ive never followed a grow with such a short duration of a veg period but theyre looking nice! i have those same bulbs and ever since i added them the plants have been doing real well. stay patient!

I had the same thing happen to me with one of my plants a little over 2 weeks ago. I saw the bud and thought "i hope this is a femal it looks like one!" turned out to be a male.
Storm crow gave me some excellent advice though on the subject, she said that the longer it takes to see the sex of a plant the more chance there is that it will be a female. and in my experience this is true. I am currently in flowering a plant that didn't show its sex 2until 2 1/2 weeks into flowering. hope this helps you a little.

hey, nice plants you have going they look health. though you have started flowering a little early.. im not sure small plants can flower theyll probably not grow to their potential and grow slowly until the point that they can flower and then just give small buds.

I freaked one day when a cop moved into the duplex next to mine, and destroyed it all. However i will be starting another new indoor grow soon.
