Say I bought 10 23watt CFL's and wanted to set them up in my custom grow chamber..
I'm in Australia and our power is 240volt 10amp or 20amp forget, but can I just string the 10 CFL's straight onto that mains wire?

Except have no ground, as the baton light fixtures only have active and neutral.

Would this work?
IE: ]---mains----CFL1----CFL2-----CLF3---CLF4---etc

or would they reduce in power each one I add to the line? Though i pretty sure it should work, I dont want to screw anything up.

Cheers

I don't think it will work in series because of the internal ballasts, but you can wire them all directly to the main with no problem.
I use more than 200 watts in one fixture. However I did rewire it with a 14 gage grounded cord just to be safe. I wired the ground to an interior metal part of the fixture.
