So i woke up this morning to find my 250 hps sitting outside my door. im so happy!!!!!!!!! I had to work about 40 mins after i open the package. But you better believe me i hooked it up lol. Shipped very fast. Anyways im home from a 10 hour day. And my girl is look ing like shes loving life under it. I have been growing with fluros for 6 weeks. This is my first indoor grow, i did most another thread with pictures of my setup, and my plant. I am basically growing in a very small space... 2x2 maybe (to be honest i have never checked the dimensions fully) but yeh... and about 5ft high... and because of my situations.... i'm content growing just one, maybe 2 plants at a time... but this is only my first... 2 will be next grow! ;D Anyways
it may be kind of late to start a grow log... so i will keep people who are interested updated... from fluro to 250 hps :)!!!
Any advice... would be great

Start flowering soon! As soon as those nodes go alternating, make the flip! 5 feet of height isn't much so don't let your plants get outta control.

lol that stuff brings me back... I got the last laugh though. Last I heard, his thieving ass was living in a flop-house with a bunch of other losers, spending his paycheck on scorpion bowls and collecting food stamps, while I still have my house and job and dignity.
Changing lights during flower is fine, and as long as the light SCHEDULE was the same, you're all set.
Advice! Don't skimp on your exhaust fan. In fact, a real blower will cool that space better than just an inline duct fan would. Yes, they cost more. HELL YEAH, they are worth it.

How tall were your plants before switching to 12/12? I'm thinking by the time you calculate height of pot (1ft) plus the space the light takes up (close to a foot?) that leaves 3 feet of vertical space. Now subtract the distance you will need between the light and top of plant.
Looks like you'll only have 18 to 24" to work with.
But don't panic. You'll be able to bend/tie branches down, it'll just be close.

growth is cool but thers no growth nodes, thats what they refer to as hps stretching. ive heard that if you flower for like the first 2 weeks with a blue spectrum mh or yeah youll get less stretch and fater buds not sure though but im sure some one knows and well speak on it

They say you can expect about 3x the plant height from veg to flower. I've been in flower for 6 weeks and already hit that mark. I LST'd early on and I also screwed up and accidentally cut off like 6" of my plants top early in veg. My plant it still about 3' tall standing straight up and with the branches pulled straight (like a plant that wasn't LST'd) it is a bit over 4' wide. I vegged under CFL's and threw it under a 400 watt hps.
