View Full Version : Big Bud?
Hey guys, I am kinda new to all this growing stuff. I got myself 400w MH and 600w HPS,(not to mention the floros my seedlings are under)are these good to grow under? My accual question is, Iv been looking at the pics here and some guy/or girl, have got their plants just all bud, with no leaves! How is this possible, can you give me any hints/tips I could use to attain this characteristic in my plants?
Thanx.

those lights will be good for flowering once combined, it will have both spectrums and it willl bring out the colors in the bud, only trim the bottom third of your plant, and any dead or dying leaves. Only trim all the leaves of when drying!
thanx, What about the vegitative state are they any good for that. what should i do??

the 400 halide should be sufficient for vegative stage, but if there are too many plants then you could use the hps. the halides spectrum triggers the growth of the plant while the spectrum of the hps triggers the flowering of the plants, so once both combined you get the best results. What method are u using to grow?
prolly the sea of green or anyother method that allows fast cash crop.

do u know the method of sog, its easy and effective, but you have to keep the clones comin, or its not gonna be a SOG. Its a good method to keep havin harvests weekly, but you have to do it right to get those weekly harvests.
sorry, i dont know sog, could you explain it?

first process of SOG, you have to get the healthiest mothers possible, and keep em under 24 hours of light, next, take bundles of good clones and root them, once rooted, veg for a week, or until about 6 inches in height, then you put those clones under flower stage, you continue this process until you run out of clones, or you want to end your grow. There will be a wide variety of sizes amongst the plants, which is suppost to happen, and you need to make a "stadium" grow, which is where you put the tallest plants in the back and the smallest in the center, thus creating a stadium of plants. Now, there will be plants in different stages of flower, some done, some not. Chop the ones that are done and you should have other ones that are nearly done, which is where you get the weekly harvests goin. Its possible, because ive done it before and am doing so right now. Good luck, and pm me if you need more info!
iight thanx, i have herd that you can make different layers of plants by building "shelfes" and putting the different stages of plants on the different shelf, Ie Flouro on top, MH in middle for vegitative growth and somewhere els for flowering period with HPS. have you tryed this method.
Anyway... how does the method you described work for the flowering period if vegitative plants are mixed with flowering, do you use Mh and HPS at the same time?

the thing where you was talking about no leafs...well it mostly depends on the strain, could be sativa by what your talkin about. also towards the top of the colas (top of bud plants) the leafs get smaller.
oh yeah? what type of seed would be the best to accomplish that?
