It was pretty ridiculous guys.

A small peace rally in a field. With an open mic for song and dance, guitars and instruments, poetry, speeches.

Illegal invasion/police occupation of Iraq statistics readings, sign designing.

An accountant from the Peace Corps attended. The Corps entire budget for the world for one year is 22 billion. They are spending that amount of money every 22 hours in Iraq, despite initially ensuring that the invasion would cost no more than 3.1 billion

We invited a Ph.D economist to read economic statistics:

Instead of the ass of money we have spent on Iraq, (we have charged 3 trillion dollars to a credit card for Iraq) we could have done any one of the following:

1. Given every man, woman, and child in Iraq $87,000 (after all that bullshit about this is for them... quasi-democracy for them... helping them.. blah, blah

2. Taught every illiterate individual on the planet how to read.

3. Given every person on the planet a Tobisha laptop.

4. Given every kid in America a full college scholarship for the next 86 years.

5. Financed a high quality national healthcare system, entirely free to every citizen for the next 25 years.

6. Hired 104,000 high school teachers and college professors and paid their salaries for 34 years, while simultaneously doubling their salaries

7. Given every illegal immigrant citizenship, taught them how to read English, and paid back all of the backtaxes they may owe for any and all years they may have been illegals (not paying taxes, thus raising ours)

I do not necessarily endorse #7, but am not angrily opposed either. :rastasmoke:

There were many other ones he named, but I cannot recall them all...

Then 200 of us ended up marching for 3 hours, covering six miles of the city with signs like "Bombing for peace is like fucking for virginity," and some other funny ones... and loudly chanting with drums and congas and quints...

I somehow ended up leading the thing... and almost got arrested after the 200 marched through a fancy restaurant and then a state building.

Wish ya were there! :rastasmoke::hippy::rastasmoke:
