My room isn't quite sealed so I was thinking of a new way to use co2. I was finding different ways to use co2 in a room and I came across excellofizz (see photo). I'm not sure but I heard that you only have to add co2 for about 15 minutes every 3 days or so. Anyway would it be possible to put a large bin on top of the plants and use one of these excellofizz tablets. If you think this would work please tell me. Also if my time is off could you please tell me what you think would work. Thanks for the help.

All you need to do is take an empty Gallon jug and add hot water half full, then add all the sugar that will dissolve and let it cool to room temp. Add a packet of bread yeast and shake it up.
Put the jug on a shelf higher than the plants, and pour off some once a week, then add more sugar and warm water.

IMHO and from readings, CO2 should be run from 1 hour after lights on till lights off every day. the first hour has to do with the stomata opening and looking for more CO2. i got the CO2 BOOST system (google) $100 per grow but is VERY simple to use and NO oder at all. those should help though, more CO@ w/ adequate lighting will help as long as you use them enough.

Anyway would it be possible to put a large bin on top of the plants and use one of these excellofizz tablets.Once or twice would produce little benefit, covering them every day or too often would probably stress the plants into hermaphrodites.

Once you have the jug set up, it will pump out extra Co2 for next to nothing in cost. I have used this in veg for years and except for a boozy smell have no complaints. I find that usually fresh air is enough though.
Remember that there are only less than a handful of strains that show a big improvement from Co2 enrichment. White Rhino is one and I wasn't very impressed with the difference.

I doubt you'll notice a difference in yield that way. Co2 should be available to the plants whenever lights are on. It's also most beneficial to flowering plants.

I just wanted to say thanks for all of the help. Since my room isn't really sealed I think I'm going to lay off the co2 until I can create another grow room. Is there any way that I can give credit to all of you that responded because you really helped me out a lot. Thanks again.

i dont think it will stress them and domed off souds cool try it with one in and one out and tell us how it works. in my experiments co2 almost doubles my veg growth but i was up to about 750 800 ppm that might be good for domed clones

go read around other threads and post....50 took us like a day or 2:jointsmile:...lol...but honestly, you have to be around 13-1600 ppm for CO2 to be beneficial otherwise....wasting time. and ALL strains, all plants for that matter, will greatly benefit from ample CO2.
