Armed federal agents are raiding medical marijuana dispensing collectives in your area as I write this. This is the latest assault on seriously ill patients' access to their medicine, and Californians' right to determine their own medical marijuana policies. there's meth cookers blowing up trailers and hotel rooms, crack dealers killing people for dealing territory, and other hard drug dealers/manufacturers committing serious, violent crimes against humanity.... and the so-called "drug enforcement administration" spends all their time ruinining innocent people's lives and making it harder for sick people of all kinds to have access to medication... what a fucking joke, every last person in there needs to grab a rope and find the nearest tree... As i see it, the DEA can honestly go fuck themselves because they are some of the lowest scum on earth to benefit off taking away people's medicine... and the medical marijuana community is a peaceful, compassionate one... but they don't give a fuck it's like shooting fish in a barrel... safe, easy targets that won't/can't fight back...

'gangsters in storefronts', I call 'em ... I don't know anything about these particular dispensaries, but the DEA has generally only been busting the ones with guns, gangsters, and many thousands of dollars by the bagfulls ... maybe you feel sorry for people selling pot for $20 a gram, and owning a pair of Ferraris, but I sure as hell don't ... grow your own meds, grow your legal number of plants, and they're not likely to bother you ... put your sympathies with a better class of people :smokin:

if your local dispenciary is not donating its profits back
into the community then they should be busted!!

If mj were to be fully legalised as a medicine then drug companies would lose a fortune and sack people, the stems and branches would be turned into hemp fibres which would cost jobs in the wood-chip, cotton and nylon industries and the leaves could be used to make hash or canna butter/oil for cooking and baking products to be sold in cannabis clubs. Cannabis can actually generate quite a bit of money in the local community, money the federal government can't tax as mj is not a legal drug under their laws.

As to why the DEA is targeting marijuana and not the heavy drugs out there, crystal meth is cooked up in a day, a quick grow from seedling or clone takes 3 months plus, cannabis growers are easier targets than meth cooks. As for the cannabis clubs, they're just sitting there so the DEA can hit them when they feel the climate is ripe to ask for higher budgets to meet the increasing costs of the war on drugs.

I'm glad the Australian government is not quite as harsh on us as the US gov is on its own citizens, the Australian federal government cannot over-rule the state governments on illicit drug usage and manufacture laws, it's a pity that none of them have the balls to be the first one to at least make mj available to med users.

that is interesting, i did not know that. Aussie Federalism :smokin: i wonder if that is in the Australian Constitution? some would argue, like me for instance :stoned: that the US federal gov't also does not have the right to act against the states based on our own 9th and 10th amendments, but Bush and all his psuedo-conservative Supreme Court judges seemed to have scribbled out that section in their copy. :mad:

We are too many and they are too few. They can try to take these away but we still live on. There are too many around this country and around the world that use cannabis. Millions! And it never killed anyone. I truly believe it has opened up so many peoples minds including myself. I found a package of bread at Kroger's the other day with a huge cannabis leaf on it. It was pure hemp bread. So now a manufacture can make a produce an illegal substance, one that supplies relief and comfort to so many, and package it as bread. I know there is no THC value in the bread but the fact that you can grow a straight hemp plant for thread or nourishment and get arrested for it is insane. why can Kroger import and sell it but I can't grow it. Tax reasons maybe?
I keep getting this feeling that I don't want to be in this country anymore but I love the opportunity and the freedom although I feel we are being taken advantage of. Hopefully someday this shit will stop.

it is crazy, isn't it? i was shopping for a gift last year and saw they have hemp lotions for women that also have the big bad cannabasin leaf on it, i thought the same thing, almost bought it for the gift, they prolly would have dug it but . . . :hippy:

i'm not sure about Canada but i was thinking i read somewhere that hemp is legal to grow up there, or maybe it was just the seeds or something else. its all just sillyness, really.

California Cannabis Hemp & Health Initiative 2008 (http://boards.cannabis.com/politics/152787-california-cannabis-hemp-health-initiative-2008-a.html) is a petition that would, if signed by enough California voters and passed this November during the election, allow hemp and cannabis to be raised by California farmers, much like California's wine industry is regulated today. :thumbsup:

Not everybody is able to grow their own...To some, like myself it's as simple as gardening, but there are many people who are unable to do it, and these 'storefronts' are the only place where they're able to get the specific strains that are most effective in treating their symptoms..

If you had a medical marijuana dispensary, wouldn't you want to use your right to bear arms to protect your business??

Yes, the price is ridiculous, but due to marijuana being illegal, these are the prices that we are forced to pay.

And I think there is a perfectly logical explanation as to why the dea's search warrants for dispensaries always remain under seal don't you?

The 'gangsters in storefronts' enable a lot of people direct access to quality marijuana, rather than them having to travel even further to a dispensary..I don't live in california, but from what I understand most if not all places require a medical card just to get into the front door...

The DEA is defeating the principle of federalism by doing this, and taking a shit on the United States Constitution, which in my opinion is absolutely uncalled for. It trips my trigger to know that my federal tax dollars are aiding these sorry sons of bitches in taking medicine away from people who need it.

Any way you could update this? I heard on ABC/7 tonight that they shut down another one yesterday because an employee of the dispensary sold a pound to a DEA agent!!! Said, they had been lokn for um since someone hit a CHP officer (now with paralysis) and showed a moving picture of the guy in a W/C looking bad! Didn't make legalization look good at ALL! then said there are 300 in L.A. county alone: So those who think they can get rich selling, too much competition. BUT IT SURE SOUNDS LIKE WE NEED TO BE MORE ON OUR GUARD AND AS LEGAL AS POSSIBLE, CAUTIOUS AND CAREFUL AS POSSIBLE TO PROTECT WHAT WE HAVE LEFT! Any thots? It bothered me!
