Mist only system

Could this system work? Any suggestions would be a big help.

look into aeroponic grows(hydroponic style) misting water on roots

or look into drip rings for growing(ebb&flow style) uses dripring to water from top of root system

or deep water culture style of growing. uses aeration

i was thinking of not using any grow medium but just grow baskets.

you still need to use some hydrotons, or rockwool or something to give the plants roots something to grab onto so it can grow up and hold some weight. you cant put in a basket alone

hydrotons(little round clay lookin balls) is what is used alot

rockwool is another great tool to use in hydroponic style grows. in hydro i would probibly recomend rockwool cause it can be used as a clone medium too

i also think rockwool would be the best media of this system. How long and how many time a day should i run the mister/ or should i just leave it on during the light cycle.
