I went out this afternoon to water my plants and found my seedling missing from the pot. I quickly tried to put it back in the soil and sprayed it with water. It got some mild sunlight from today's cloudy skies, but it is still very sad looking. The root didn't look damaged at all, and neither did the leaves... and I have saved a seedling in a similar case. However, ...what would be the BEST thing to do rather than just spraying it????

Normally I would care less and just try another seed, but this specific seed came from some really good stuff and I was curious to see how it would grow.If it doesn't stabilize...I won't be too disapointed, but I want to at least put effort into saving it...thnx!

some plants can take a beating, others cant. if it wasnt out for long and took little damage, it should recover quickly.

but more importantly: how did it get out???

If you're growing it in soil, add soil up to about an inch down from the cotyledons. It'll almost certainly be shocked, and may take a while to get over it. Focus less on spraying the seedling, and more on making sure the growing medium (preferably in a smaller pot) isn't allowed to dry out.

thanks...nature is so amzing, I just looked at my little seedling and it looks waaaay better. About how it got out...I'd rather not say.....
Put it like this , it was very irresponsible of me to leave it where I did.....I'm now looking for a safer/hidden spot to keep it.
PHHHWEeewww:o that was a close one!
