try using really hot water, it gives a warm, steamy hit. very pleasant.

Get one with an ice catcher. It's awesome. For a filler, try listerine. I'm serious.

i would never use anything but water in my glass bong, it would get all sticky and shit. i know kids who use gapple juice as a filler, and their bongs are so sticky and disgusting.

i usually just stick to almost-frozen water and ice. Also, if you use hot water and have a shitty bong, make sure to let the water naturally cool down inside the bong if youre gonna run it under cold water to clean it out. Rapid temperature change + shitty glass (non-pyrex usually) = CRACK!!
