DXM allergies?

I drank two bottles of Zicam last night, and I had, for the most part, a good first trip. (I had done it once before, but hadn't taken enough.) But partway through, I got really itchy, and really frantic. Completely terrified.

I vaguely remember it coinciding with my dad waking up at 1:30 and going down to watch TV, and me being paranoid. Could that just be the trip, or was I genuinely breaking out in rash?

I was tripping pretty hard (I'm scraping 140 lbs, tops), so I don't rule out a little psychosis. But if it was allergies or some other reaction, I might want to know about it so I could decide if I want to do this again.

DXX commonly causes a bit of itching and or irritation at doses higher than 100 mg. Its basicallly normal.

last time i did Dxm a few weeks ago was my 1st time my head got really itchy to

it was a bitch i couldnt stop scratching my head seemd like it was going on almost my whole trip

the itching is called the robo-itch and is usually caused by the inactive ingredients in dxm medicines, and panic and paranoia is a sign of a bad trip usually. only a very small minority of people have a alergy to dxm, actually its more of a liver enzyme deficiency so the dxm isnt broken down resulting in poisoning, for some reason caucasians are more likely to have this deficiency but even in them its a extremely small percent.

I get robo-itch a lot. It comes and goes.. Sometimes I won't get it with a specific cough preparation, but then it shows up the next trip. I do remember having absolutely no robo-itch when I was using homemade extracted DXM, though.
