Has anyone seen this documentary? Very well made movie analyzing the Eisenhower coined term, "Military-Industrial-Complex". Examining the relationship between the military and major corporations. Check it out, it's really good. And somewhat terrifying.
What I realized from this movie, the U.S. is an imperialistic empire that hides behind certain events throughout history to bring them into a war. Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, Gulf of Tonkin, 9/11, they're all catalysts that allow our government to justify to the people reasons to go to war. Once we're at war, we stand to make trillions of dollars. Do you know why there was no timetable or exit strategy before we went into Iraq? Because we don't plan on leaving the 2nd largest oil reserve in the world.
