Bowl got confiscated

I went to a hardcore show today so me and my buddies went outside to hit my bowl between sets. Anyway, they have security at the door and while I was walking in one time, my jacket got searched and Boom, guess what was in there?

So, he takes it.

I asked if I could have it back after the show, but he wouldn't give it back.

He was pretty chill about it and didn't call anybody, so kudos to that, at least.:thumbsup:

Kinda lame that I don't have my $35 glassware anymore. We used to count each session it had on it like mileage haha:jointsmile:.

Anyway! This thread is for discussing what happened to me and times when your bowl got taken.

Is that normal for that venue to be searched? Seems kinda weird to me, but what do I know. I've had to go through a metal detector before, but I've never even been padded down. If I was in your position depending on how badly I wanted to see the show, how much the ticket cost, and how much of the show I had already seen I probably would have told the guy to fuck off before I let him search me.

Either way.. If you're gonna smoke in public roll joints.

Most places search you when going into concerts.. Best to just roll up a few joints and take them instead of a pipe..

I saw phil lesh a few months ago, security guard grabs my cigarette pack and looks in it to find a fat joint of good cannabis. He took it. I know they smoked it later.
I know stupid to keep it in there. wont ever make the same mistake again.

Dude, I think it was more stupid for the guard to search your cigarette pack. What was he expecting to find in there, other than cigarettes? I mean, I can understand why they search people at concerts (R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell) but I mean, hell. A pack of cigarettes? That's ridiculous.

if i said no couldn't they have barred me from entering? he didn't give me a chance to object. he felt the pack as he patted me down and went right for it. he knew what he was doing.

At least in the USA security has every right to search you, and throw you out for any reason - at a private venue. They aren't bound by the same laws as cops searching your person, home or property. When you buy a ticket into a venue you have given up many of your basic rights to be allowed access to the club. If you tell them no, they boot you out. I've known plenty of bouncers and many of them to confiscate, and smoke/snort/eat/drink what they find later. And will admit it "off the record". Half of them are roided and uppered-out anyway.

taking a glass bowl to a hardcore show? thats pretty brave... i've never been at a metal or hardcore show where a glass bowl would survive! Bring a cheap one or some joints next time. and just remember, they can call the cops on you... or beat the shit out of you if you look at them funny. You've paid admission to give them that right.

I had a buddy who used to take pot into shows all the time. he'd put it rolled tight down his crotch or whatever, and hide a dildo or tampon on his person... like a pocket or his jacket pocket. the guards would find the weird stuff and be like, "you sick fuck" and 9 out of 10 times just push him through...

dude, if they find it they cant take it, if you dont go in, that would be similar to stealing. Especially if you dont have weed on you, keep it seperate. when ive been to shows, they do pat you down, they even checked my waist line. hide it down your ass crack. seriously, ive never had a man put his hand up my crack. of course it wont smell good, but if you bag it right then no biggie, it would be worth it, or get big shoes, if you get them big enough they can hold quite a stash in the toe.
