Its completely legal to do people and we need to exercise our right to do so. I'm afraid its the only way to force change on this issue. Our legislatures appear to be incapable of addressing this issue so its left up to us.Please register to vote so you can help contribute.
Interesting article by the people that made The Wire series.

This has got to be one of the greatest ideas ever. Wait, is it too late for me to be a jurist? I had my psychiatrist send a letter to the clerk of courts. She attested that I'm schizophrenic. Which is true. Schizo affective disorder. Can't take the stress of a trial. Gotta split mind & who knows how I'd vote on a jury?: Darn, I'm confused. Is this funny to anyone? Yes, it is. No, it's not. You don't know what you're talking about. Neitner do you. Is anything I just wrote true? Who cares? I do. Now, don't start that again. :wtf: No, really, voting to acquit is a great idea. I'd do it. No you wouldn't. Errrr!:cursing: Help me! What's the best strain for my kinda strain? Get the F**k outta here already. Kick, kick kick!

Jury nullification is not only a right of a juror, it's also your duty as one. No judge today will ever instruct a jury of this right like they used to, they don't have to (supreme court ruling). But it is still a valid law that even predates the US constitution. Alcohol probation was greatly defeated due to juries exercising there rights to nullification.
I am a supporter of the "Fully Informed Jury Association" and have done a few flier handouts outside the court house of Cambridge, MA. Check out the site, Fully Informed Jury Association (http://www.fija.org)
