Went out to check my babies this morning, and 3 had been eaten. Nothing left but the stem. wtf! What should I do for this problem? This is a first for me, never happened before.

wrap the containers with duct tape...sticky side out. that will catch any crawling bugs that are eating your babies.

Age of plants? It's a big difference between a week old seedling (getting chomped by a snail or something?) and a well grown 2 month old plant (you'd need a rabbit or deer). I presume outdoors, but you didn't say. More info would help a lot! Sorry for your loss!- Granny:hippy:

You got a cat? Kitties are notorious plant-trimmers...
Protect your plants with chicken wire or keep them out of reach of housepets.
If you are growing in the wild, chicken wire cages, hot pepper wax, bird netting, etc. will help keep your plants safe from rabbits.

No cats. They're outdoors IN THE GROUND. bout 3 weeks old.

A friend of mine just told me it was probably a rabbit. He said he heard that human urine would work. Will it?

human urine? youd be better off with wolf or some predatory type id think.

Humans (not vegans) are omnivores and could be considered predatory in this case for pissin' purposes... coyote urine is the usual one but human DOES help a lot from what I've seen.

Thanks. I about shit a brick, when I saw my plants this morning. I'm just glad, they only ate 3. Well , I have a few more that just sprouted in the house, so I guess I'll go replace them and take a leak. lol

Be careful since urine is very high nitrogen and can burn your plants just like overapplication of fertilizer... FYI! Go real easy... bunnies smell real well; you don't need to soak the plants for the smell to be there.

I just put a little bit, right outside of the edges of the hole, that each plant is in. Will that be o.k.?
