Will Red lights work for growth?

Right im just after picking up a nLite 220w self ballasted red.

This was the only one they had and im just wondering will red be ok for growth. small setup, growing 2 "Blue nun" strain.

its usually better to have red for the flower/budding stage
and usually better to have blue light for veg/growing stage

or use a mixed spectra for even better results

But is it possible to grow a healthy plant under red from begining?

you can, but you also need the blue light for better spectra.

in the growing stage you can use 4' shoplights for all your needs and use the stronger red light for your flowering stage or use both lights in conjunction
