Has anyone ever had to take down a harvest 2 weeks early due to unforseen events like visiting family members? Is anything sacrificed other than yield? I will be 17 days from the end of my 60 day Hashberry harvest when I need to take it down and this is just killing me! All other avenues of escape are currently closed and there is no where I can temporarily put the plants during this time period. I'm up against the wall on this one! :(

Good chance potency will be. Especially if you're judging your harvest time by what you've read about the strain. If you're basing it on an eight week flower time, and it happens to need ten weeks instead, you could be looking at a big potency loss.

Sucks to hear that, dude. Can you get them to stay at a Holiday Inn instead?

your yeild will also suffer something my buddy told me about my 1st grow was wait as long as u can he said that i should wait an extra week or 2 after i thaught they were ready and watch the buds get much much bigger but that was an outdoor grow i was forced to harvest earlyer then expected and my buds were still very potent but im not so sure if this would be different indoors

I have reconsidered and decided the grow stays! They will just have to deal with it. Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

If you give a quick description of your setup, we can help you find inventive ways to keep your visitors away from the area.
I always use the 'my dog got nasty fleas and I had to bomb that end of the house, sorry you can't go in there for 48 hours' excuse, and leave some open packages of the nastiest product Raid makes laying around, lol!!!

Perhaps some of these would help, lol: (Seriously, good luck with the family relations)

This post is quite late in coming. I left it all as is and the family had to deal with it. The funny thing is they loved it! They would go in the room in the day and just look and examine the crop. It was very cool.

If i can give one word of advice DO NOT HARVEST EARLY!!! I grow with a friend he needed money so he harvested them a week and a half before they should have been. The crop lost yield, flavor, smell and probably some potency too. Even thhough the plants smelled DANK while on the plant early harvested buds always seem to have a hay smell to it.
