thanks to xcrispi for great hydro advice in setting up my system ... I changed my system to a recirculating setup, adding a 3rd reservoir which adds 4 gallons of capacity to the existing 4 gallons ... plants in second pic did stretch, due to me being out of state for over 2 weeks, but no harm done ... the simple setup allowed my neighbor to keep the reservoir topped off with some pre-mixed jugs I left behind, and pH, etc was perfect when I returned ... this time around, I ignored the common hydro-store advice I had been getting, and switched to 100% Fox Farms nutrients (Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, and Open Sesame), adding only a bit of molasses and Earth Juice MicroBlast to the mix ... the deep green leaf coloring tells me the plants love the Fox Farm products ... the leaves are almost oily, they are so healthy ... Fox Farm for hydroponics = GREAT !! ... I bring springwater down from a nearby mountain, with a 138 ppm, and average 7.2 pH, it is almost perfect after adding nutes, around a 6.0 pH ... lucky me

Nice to see you back, sir. :D
Always a pleasure. You ARE lucky to have good stream water that compliments your choice of nutes!

Hey reaper.....glad you are back. Hope all is well. Is that the little "power grower" setups from GH?
Well...not little...lol. Don't they hold about five gallons or something?

hi, hon ... sorry to take so long to respond ;) ... those are the General Hydroponics' 'Power Growers' ... larger than the regular DWC, and larger than I really need :wtf: ... hold 2 gallons apiece (if I remember right) ... I now recirculate the two of them thru an additional 5-gallon reservoir I made ... with that setup, I can now leave for 2-3 days without a catastrophe, if I needed to

update ... took this pic today of my 2 NorCal Daddy's Girl, this is Day 43 of flowering ... as you can see, she stretched a lot while I was out of state for 2+ weeks, but, it couldn't be avoided ... (that deep green foliage courtesy of 100% Fox Farm nutes ) ... I flushed them this morning, and they will both do their final week with a glop of molasses, and a tablespoon of Fox Farm 'Big Bloom' (per gallon of mountain springwater, final pH of 6.0) ... I've decided I don't much like growing clones out, I miss the big main colas of a seedplant ... also a couple pics of my next breeding project ... this time, I took Mike, of Mandala's, advice, and started my seeds dry into the pre-soaked plugs ... they all sprouted in just under 4 days, while they always took 8 days before ... curious ...

That first pic is lovely. What do you mean pre-soaked plugs?
'Rapid Rooter' plugs ... look like foam rubber, but they're actually made from compressed bark ... they are the cat's ass  ... I bought them for cloning, but they are outstanding for starting seeds, just the right amount of water retention ... lots of nurseries and garden shops carry them ... transplanting from soil to hydro or hydro to soil, they make it simple ... and, pH stable, no hassles like with rockwool

well, getting so nothing surprises me ... I've been letting my hydro NCDG go longer than usual, and now, on Day 53, I see she has begun wearing eye-shadow ... the little slut :S2:

:D yeah, she's a 'burnout' alright :D ... she was really over-nuted while I was back East, I've been flushing her for several days now, just water, molasses, and Big Bloom ... took a taste of her today, she smoked amazingly mild and tasty ... from her appearance, I expected 'cough syrup gone bad', :D

Are you kidding? I'd be on that in a second! She looks delicious imo. Looks to me like she needs a good home in someone's pipe.
Thinking of starting my summer grow early......80 degrees here today.
