6000w-5months-max yield??????????

so basically.. i figured this would be a good place to start my first post....

my ideas

10x10 room 99 plants 6 1000hps and just let them grow out with 1 month veg time or

10x10 room SOG 6 1000hps no veg

again i know if i was going to cultivate year round i would go sog...is there any advantage for a single grow sog? that's a whole lot of clones and federal time without any of the sog benefits...agreed?

i heard 1 lb per lamp can be expected but isn't that for sog only? i was under the assumption that i could veg them for a month or so and get around 3 ounces per plant? is that crazy?

i also read about these stadiums setups but they look more geared towards sog style with lots of clones..

so there it is 6 1000hps 5 months..most possible yield...what would you do??lets hear it

What would I do? lol wouldn't THAT be nice... but if all conditions were perfect, I would do this:

Divide the space into 2 x 5x10 rooms
Run 3 x HPS1000 in each, off 3 ballasts, on a flipflop relay. One room on while the other room off.
Source clones elsewhere.
Run rooted clones in a total of 4 x 4x4 tables, 2 per room.

OR do the whole space under a total of 9 lamps.

Put rooted clones directly in hydroton or rockwool, vegging for 1.5 weeks before the switch. That's all the time you have to run 2 crops in 5 months.
Flood-n-drain if HT or drip-to-waste if RW.
Be CERTAIN that your strain will finish within 8 weeks.

And for God's sake, don't post your commercial grow on the internet!

The 1 pound per lamp applies only to the time the plant spends under the flowering lamp, and assumes that all other conditions for efficiency are met. This stuff you have to learn.
The real formula is:
0.5 grams,
per watt of HPS light in the flower room,
per month the plant spends in the flower room.

yes it is my first grow (is it that obvious?) but since its the same penalty from 1-99 plants i figured why not...the relay is a nice little piece of equipment..i was reading about it on a stadium grow flip flop...

i was looking at arjans haze so i was wondering..what if i veg for 2 months and then flower for 3months? what would could i expect from that? how many plants? how much yeild each?

i am not growing at the same location as my ip...not even close....and i haven't told anyone other than the 91,000 members on here so its pretty low key...lol

Hazes are not IMHO the ideal commercial strain. The flower time is long enough that you can run into issues such as becoming rootbound, too tall, or soil pH plummeting from overfert, salting, or simply the lime being used up.
Go for a classic commercial strain such as NL, PPP, Afghani, Skunk1, BigBud, etc.
Start small. Really. Try your hand at growing, because you WILL make mistakes. We all do. This will give you the time to grow out a few big fat mother plants, which you absolutely NEED if you have commercial aspirations. Vegging 2 months from seed is appropriate, but remember, you will have to start twice the plants you need, since about half will be male. So your plant count becomes a burden.

And please stop asking how much yield. How long is a piece of string? No one can answer that. You could get pests or disease, or make mistakes that wipe out your whole crop. You could have adequate conditions and average yield. You could do very well and if you're really dialed in, maybe you will hit 0.5 gwm. MAYBE.

Read up. Learn to crawl before running an Ironman.

I just wanted to give everyone in this thread a :thumbsup: its hard to find forums that people still give support to big dreams. I remember on overgrow seeing complete n00bs pulling off huge garage and basement grows and getting the same yields as the pros just because of the determination and support of the forum. Anyway I'm glade to see an ambitious new grower going for the big leagues. I would use the 6kw as a huge flower room and go the clone route you an harvest 6 times a year and you know everyone of your plants will be female. Just think if you grew from seed and half turn out to be male plants. If they had been clones your yield would have be nearly twice as much.

thanks, but i'm not quite sure how i will run it yet....i think i'm going to just start growing and learn from my own experiences what works...otherwise i'm just going to be going around in circles following all the inspirational threads..

i mean 1 guy grows 400+ clones out every two months in a stadium setup and gets around 2lbs a bulb

another grows them out with less plants and bigger harvests

and yet another is supposedly getting 3lbs a light in a sealed room

i'm just going to pick one and go for it

im just about done with my first grow(about 3 weeks left) and there were MANY small issues that i never would have thought of in the beginning.
for my first grow, i simply wanted to get all the equipment and get the basic knowledge, so when i move in July, i can go balls out in the new crib
the thing is...i imagine small issues get exponentially larger when dealing with that many plants.
better to fuck up and trash a few plants then fuck up and trash 99 of 'em

vegging is the variable, flowering is the constant
you can veg for fucking ever, but not in flowering.
flowering is a set time based on what kind of strain of nuggetry you have. you harvest when the buds have reached their maturity

I swear to you, I bought mine used and the guy said he would wait till I grow the money I owe him:clap:

Sounds like a trap. VERY sketchy. Do NOT let this person come by to pick up the $$ at your house. In fact, that's just STINKING of bacon to me. Good way for the fuzz to get a feel for who's growing what- orchid growers don't wait to pay for gear. When you go to pay your debt, bring him an orchid and tell him "thanks so much, I actually won a prize at the flower show I was prepping for a couple months ago!" And don't go by yourself. Bring a [burly if possible] friend.
