dude i just figured out that i can give my plants my normal artificial lights (18 hours), plus direct and powerfull sunlight, but my setup got to be in the middle where was my desktop, so i moved it to the corner, its this worth? or just artificial lights are enough?, 400watts MH. will my plants grow faster? or extremely faster? or just normal

I have heard sunlught to be around 10,000 lumens per square foot on a bright, summer days.

You should be fine with MH, but experiments are always fun. Sunlight supplementation with CFLs would likely produce a noticable difference, but MH are pretty strong, yeah?

but the question is... is there a limit on this? i mean putting more 400watts in the area, i just dont understand how plants works you know... could be 2xfaster if i put 2x the light? i am wrong?

a bit more complex, the relationship is only linear to an extent

More light = more photosynthesis; until a point at which it levels off at its max rate despite additional light

Too much light can cause bleaching, and too much light is most harmful to seedlings, clones, or plabts in very cold temps... but you have to have much more than 400 watts to bleach a plant I think

The general rule for folks like us is the more light the better!
