ok the guy at teh hydro store whore up and down about this solarmax 1000 watt hps bulb that cost me 100$ The regular phillips bulbs are 50$
Anyway it is supposed to put out 20000 more lumens and have 5500 in the redspectrum and 2000 in teh blue or something like that..
It seems like it looks more blueish than my other bright orange regular 1000 watt hps. and the bulb is shortert I don't know you guys , Can anyone give me some input about these bulbs.

Sounds like they're pretty good lamps. Don't know if they're worth twice as mauch as regular lamps though.

FLOWERING
As plants approach maturity they require less "Blue Light" and depend more upon radiation from the "Red" portion of the spectrum between 610 nm - 720 nm. The SolarMax HPS lamps have been engineered to constantly deliver 10% more targeted "Red Light" energy to the maturing plant to promote aggressive flowering.

"why don't you just google it?" says the guy who probably should read the packaging on his nutes...
In the case of lamps, it's a good idea to check to see how other growers have fared with a product you've never heard of, so it's a perfectly reasonable post. Sorry I've got no input on that particular bulb :(
I'm moving this to indoor lighting.
