I've been smoking long enough to know that it's a toss up if the weed I'm buying will help my anxiety or make it worse. I was wondering if anyone knows what strain is used to reduce anxiety/ panic attacks and shaking. The more specific the better so I can know what I should be looking to for.

I heard Strawberry Cough, and Afghani are recommended for anxiety. I have not tried SBC yet but I heard its a mellow high, very relaxing. Afghani is just some great tasting calming type of affect. 5 stars

Look at CBC's etc. in cannibas. These really help make a difference. This is exactly where the drug companies go wrong. They think it is just the THC. But it is a combination of compounds.

I personally find Grapefruit great for my anxiety. I use this during the day and Ice before bed.

Thanks for asking what I needed to know also.

So I assume Sativa are best for the anxiety problems some of us face.

Does indica exaggerate this problem while sativa helps?

Thanks

my shaking is more of a problem than my anxiety, but they go hand in hand.

My wife can't even smoke Sativas or sativa dominant
Hybrids because it makes her anxiety so much worse....
Her Favourite anti-anxiety strain is Master Kush.
We have some Master Kush Hash Made with a Pollinator,
which she said is excellent for calming her nerves.

In general terms, you can look at Sativa as a pick me up and Indica as a body relaxant. But remember there are tons of exceptions, especially since the breeds are crossed.

If you are one of those people who suffer from paranoia when medicated, I would recommend trying an Indica or something that doesn't aggravate it.

I have a friend who, when using Sativa gets the shakes. He feel better but the Sativa just "winds him up". For me, it breaks my depression for a few hours and I actually get up and do all kinds of things that, just minutes before I felt like I didn't have the energy to do.

Indicas... not so much.

But remember, everyone's body chemistry is different and what works for one person may not necessarily work the same for someone else.

It would be great if there was an easy to find list of the breeds that are best for anxiety and/or depression, etc.:hippy:

I have been searching a long time for someone who has actually tried the grapefruit strain as im considering this straing for my third grow. is it a hybrid? how does it taste?

Most Haze is good for anxiety. The one that works best for my sister is Hempstar.
