Just harvested one Lowryder2

I was going to let them go a few more days, but it was getting dark spots on the big fan leaves and many leaves were yellowing. Is this all normal though? I was surprised at what that little plant was hiding. :hippy:

They say 25% of the wet weight will be your dry weight. Perhaps someone can confirm it.

It was 66 days. I have heard of some going 70, but they are supposed to finish in 8 weeks from seed, so 56 days. It was beginning to look bad though. You think I should have waited?

Next time, you might want to invest like $10 into a scope to check the trichs =] half amber/half cloudy and you're good

hey , im im the process of buying lowryder seeds (online) and i intended to get the lr2 santa maria cross 10 pack for £35 but i saw they have feminised seeds too , a 5 pack for the same price , so i take it that feminised means they'l be 100% females ? which will be a much better smoke ?

Yes, feminized seeds are usually 90-95% female. Should be just as good of a smoke, although some say feminized seeds display weaker genetics because they are bred using hermaphroditic plants. I would go the feminized personally. :rastasmoke:

Either way, you are getting 5 females, and each option is equal in price. Just depends on how much gardening you want to do and how much space and $ you have.

yes, but the main thing with lowryder is that you can't clone it! One of the very few strains where a male is a good thing. Basically with any other kind, feminised seeds are awesome because you know they're female and can keep taking clones and flowering them, but with lowryder, if you buy female seeds, you just grow them and you're done, you gotta buy more. If you just breed your own with the males from the same batch, you can get several hundred seeds... for free.. and you can sell them if you want!

I'll probably just use it all and make some tincture or butter. I grew this in soil, with a 400 watt cool tube. I just started my first hydro top-drip grow (Built it myself!), with Fem. Blueberry. Looking forward to a much bigger, and better grow. :)

hey dude, giving a second look on those pics.. it looks like (I can't be positive without seeing the gland heads) that you harvested WAY WAY too early, that looks like how buds that are half of the way through flowering look... just my 2 cents..
The buds were way too skinny for the strain.

Well, between you and Keeko I know that I need to be patient and wait longer, and Lowryder2 does not finish 56 days from seed. That was 66 days. Oh well, live and learn. Thanks Guys. :thumbsup:

better than my first harvest. 4 female autoflowers (no idea if pure ryder genes or not) gave me roughly 15g of bud yield, and 1g of hash.

mind you, it came down almost 2 weeks early due to complete nitrogen toxification, and had abou 1/2 the needed cfl light (strangely the buds were really good tho)

an oz on a ryder is pretty good growing imo. Its good bud, but ive had better. (my organic sativas are my fav)

Yeah, its quite decent smoke and there is def. better out there. Honestly though, its just nice being able to do things with LR that you can't do with regular plants, like grow it in your Veg room while your other plants grow.

Either way, its not horrible.

How hot is it in that room man? Those LR's look heat stressed no doubt. Curled up parts of the leafs, burnt tips...must be scorching in there.

leaves started curling two days ago the temp and humidity has been a bit of a bitch but i think it has settled now.
the scorched leaves on the top happend a while ago when i couldnt get to her for two days and she grew into the lamp. :mad:

If my lowryder seeds grow like URs then I am goint to try and clone the plants anyway. ooo man do I hope I get at least 1 male out of the 10 seeds.

Well lowryders are autoflowering, so they don't really react to light schedules. They pretty much just run on their own internal clock. So if you were to cut a growing tip off a mother lowryder plant that growing tip will still have it's internal clock set at the same time as it's mothers. You CAN clone it, but it will flower when the plant that it came off of flowers. Since it does that, you might as well leave it on the original plant.


With a regular plant you take a clone, veg it out, then flower. With a lowryder there is no such thing as "veg" time, only how many days before it starts to flower and when you take a clone that number of days doesn't reset. And obviously you can't keep a mother since they start to flower at a certain age regardless of light schedule.

i am growing my LR#2 with 24/0 light justnow....:thumbsup:
and she is flowering and loving the light.
