Hello, I'm new to this. I don't use Cannabis at this time. Have not used in 30+ yrs. I'm willing to work to get the laws changed. Until then, I'm looking for info, possibly weblinks, about which cannabis is best for my medical conditions. I have fybromyalgia, osteo-arthritis & depression. Also, I'm a watercolor painter who feels like the well is drying up at age 51. So, i'm also interested in cannabis for creativity. Also, it appears that using a vaporizer is a good method of inhalation. Thank you for bearing with me. I'll try to learn everything I can, share the best & leave the rest. :)

I can't help on the strains, but I do have this neat little post you might enjoy reading. It lists medical studies, some on the conditions you have named. The link is below in my sig. Heck, I may as well give you a 2-fer and get you over to TY, while I'm at it! The second post is my update to the first post
My "Happy New Year" Medical post - TreatingYourself.COM Online Community (http://www.treatingyourself.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=25554)
Treatingyourself.com is a nice little MMJ site in Canada. You might pop over there and take a peek! Several folks there have your conditions and could give better advice as to which strain for what ailment.
Well, I expect you will be busy reading for a while, so I'll let ya go. Welcome once again! - Granny:hippy:

Wow! You put together all this info & links? You must be a driven genius. I foung great info on every subject. Even that Sativa would probably be best for creativity. I feel a kinship to you. My great-Grandmother was a native American medicine woman. I only wish that I had a chance to know her & learn from her. You would probably have gotten along well with her. She became a school teacher on the reservation. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. You are a great medicine woman & teacher in your own right. Now we need to get the government to listen to we the people & the massive database of the values of medical cannabis. Maybe then we'll get the prohibition lifted. :)

Thank you KindGreenBuds. More great info. I've got eye strain from reading so much great & straight info. I just saw a movie tonight called the War on Drugs. Boy, we sure need to fire a crap load of BS politicians. I'm going to vote this year. But, you can believe I'm going to dig deep into how my elected officials are voting. I'm prepared to send out a lot of your fired letters. Lucie, you got a lot of splainin to do. Why is is that so called pot heads, who are so terribly disparaged, the only ones who have their heads on straight? I'm really weary of the lies about & the criminalization of cannabis. But, I will fight the good fight. I don't & won't us cannabis until we get the laws changed. Unfortunately, I live in Florida where the laws are the most draconian anywhere in the US. The problem is we have a lot of closed minded elderly politicians in power. We'll just have to wait for our turn & wage a peaceful war on the war on drugs. The day will come & I hope it comes soon as I have a lot of medical issues that only cannabis can help. Thanks for making me feel at home & for the sense of community.

I wish I were as bold as I would like to be! I'd like to print up my list and roll it in a tube and hit them over their small-minded heads until I got their attention! (Kinda like getting a Missouri mule's attention with a 2 x 4!) If a quiet, computer-dummy of a little old lady like me can find THAT much info, how can they NOT know it!
But I love my job in education, so I keep things low profile....and give you kids some "ammo" you need in the war on Cannabis prohibition! ;)
And CK, yep, I put it all together. There was no place that heads would access that had a really large number of articles in the medical use of cannabis. So I made one! If you can find a way to use it, please do! Maybe mail some random pages and the URLs to those pea-brained politicians and doctors? :D Remember that politicos look at each paper letter as the "voice" of a 1,000 voters! Speak up!
My Mom was bi-polar and I have a touch of it. When I go "mildly manic", things like my "birthday post" happen- Gotta do something! Cannabis keeps me relatively stable. Mellows the highs and lows.
And yes, I am part native American and I know a bit about herbs and such. I think g-granny and I would have been able to have an interesting chat. I'm glad I was able to give you a helping hand! :) - Granny:hippy:

Hi Storm Crow. You're the best. I love the idea of sending out letters to pols using your info. Wilco. You know, when people say they've never met a native American they just don't realize we're part of the melting pot. SO, WE'RE STILL HERE. LOL
