I'd ask him to explain to you very thoroughly exactly why doing that would "boost crystal production." I'd love to hear it.

ive seen marijuana trees dude, big bushy trees, that only produced a pound. 7 pounds sounds like some bs, but maybe if the plant was like 15 ft or taller or something

Mother plants are usually kept in veg indefinitely to cut clones from...?

and split the stem with a butter knife

Why a butter knife? Why not something sharp so as not to mangle the plant?

and stick a tooth pick all the way thru it boost crystal production.

Does this REALLY sound like it makes ANY sense? :wtf:

I think this guy is feeding you full of shit. Does he grow and use this technique himself?

i has no idea about that, all i know is about pinching and bending the stems to make it more sturdy and it puts stress on the plants which i think will make more potent :s

There was some other thread on here before that mentioned techniques to get the plant to produce more resin...

One of them mentioned slicing into some part of the plant, causing minor stress and somehow that is supposed to equal more resin.

I would be a bit worried about getting a hermie, honestly.. so this is not for me.

But maybe look up that thread I guess.

I tend to agree.

Even were this technique to work, there are MUCH better ways to improve plant health, and by extension, yield, that do not involve stressing the plant to the point of hermaphrotidism or injury which can allow disease to take hold.

Just concentrate on plant health. You will grow more than enough for yourself and your close friends if you just follow normal grow procedures.
