Yo i just started to grow and im From Bc Canada and yea i know it humid here on the island, and well anywho i started germinating 50 purple Kush seeds and it took like almost 2weeks to grow a taproot is that right ? i doubt it. ive seen my bros taproots come out within a day or two. any ideas for growing also wtf is with 2 weeks sigh.

Thats a really long time. Have you kept the temps up? Seeds like it wet and warm. :)

oh yea, i had them next to a portable heater under a black cup

How old were the seeds? Germination time and success rate decreases as seeds get older.

Maybe too warm, which is just as bad (if not worse) than being too cold. I played around with germinating seeds under unusually warmer conditions than I'd normally give them, and germination was delayed. In fact, one of the seeds did something really strange and emerged from the shell cotyledons first. I also scuffed them up a bit, so this may have played a part in it.

yea no these seeds are from like hmm 4 months ago indoor grown, but i know they were mature.

So yea i came home from work today to find that bam the rest of my seeds were done, well 47 of the 50 were germinated. cant wait till the summer
