Oh man that song is trippy as fuck... ive heard it several times until realize what was its meaning... for me, it sounds like what someone would hear when walking in the town stoned out of ones mind (or even under influence of stronger psychedelics)...
For me, most trippy songs are from Pink Floyd... Echoes, Saucerful of Secrets, Absolutely Curtains, Obscured by Clouds... and a few more that i dont remember right now. :stoned:

You know, I never would have thought, but Gorillaz - Demon Days is a VERY VERY VERY fun album to just chill and smoke to, it def has a slight trippy sound to it and the transitions are so awesome when baked
I was never into the Gorillaz much, but after a huge blunt session with a few buddies, I found this album to be amazing.
Give it a try, trust me!

greendestiny, you're into mike patton's stuff? mr. bungle and fantomas were awesome. you ever listen to tomahawk? or mike patton's adult themes for voice? that thing was ridiculous. then there's the songs he did with the dillinger escape plan, that thing is really insane, irony is a dead scene, it was just 4 songs, but they were out of this world.
reb, that's LOCAL H playing "time" - dark side of the moon, well i guess it sounds quite a bit different like that, heh

Ok how about:
Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love (the middle bit always trips me out a lot)
The Doors - The End (mix in Jim Morrison and references to Freudian Psychology and you get a pretty strange and trippy song)
The Flaming Lips - most of their songs trip me out...... :D
Jane's Addiction - Three Days (first time I listened to it I was very baked and the peak of the song is intense)
The Beatles (a lot of their songs but...) - Day in the Life (when it gradually builds and builds up, then peaks, then stops and 'never could speak anyother word' at the end trips me out everytime haha ;)
Jimi Hendrix - Bold as Love
Primal Scream - Come Together
Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
Velvet Underground - Heroin
Yes - Roundabout :rastasmoke:

I've only had the pleasure of listening to some Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, and Dillinger... but it is some great WTF?! kinda music.
I've been going crazy trying to think of some other guy that does a lot of crazy/obscene/experimental type of music. The name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember the dude's name. It's the dude's name for the band too I think... I'll post back here once I can figure it out...

You can edit your post but you only have a short period of time to do it before the edit button disappears, so you have to be quick to edit.

Stratus by Billy Cobham is groovy
right on!! jazz/rock Fusion before it got flaccid and limp. Some favorites in that genre: the inner mounting flame by the mahavishnu orchestra
Aurora jean-luc ponty, jeff beck Wired and blow by blow, allan holdsworth 16 men of tain, Tony Williams joy of flying, National health (progressive jazz rock from canterbury england).
I also listen to many different ethnic styles of music like folk music from Scandinavia like the group Vasen gront and whirled or Hoven Droven hippa, and the balkans Pachora ast, 3 mustafas 3, secret chiefs 3 (modern balkan/jazz/rock), african music cds such as king sunny Ade's juju music, Ali farke toure Savane, Toumani diabate symetrical orchestra, baaba maal, yousou N'Dour,
Some of my favorite rock artists are richard thompson, robert Wyatt, King Crimson, Adrian belew, zappa, ELP, early yes, genesis,
i find this music to be somewhat "trippy"!
