Alright...it took me a while to get a seed, I guess i just get really good stuff :jointsmile:

anyways, its about 4 days old...I have it under a 26 Watt CFL.

Quality isnt that great, but I think its going pretty well.

Does it look healthy?

dont over water, no nutes, and check PH from the tap and run off.
i think the range is about 7.0-7.9 which is fairly nuteral.
keep the light super close, and buy a couple of the 43 watters they are great, or the 200watter from lowes.

I water it about 3 times a day by using a straw and dropping only a little in a time...

how long can i use the 26 watt for until it starts affecting the plant?

u should fill that bucket up to the rim with soil...better for airflow n shit. otherwise i think mold and other scary things can build up in there.

and you shouldnt water so much.
the roots like oxygen...so let the soil dry up some.
i water every 3-4 days
more water...less frequently boss

i think 7 to 7.9 is a lil high u might want to check that again also

7.0 is a neutral pH.

6.5-6.8 is pretty ideal for pH of the soil. And definitely add a little more soil to the cup, the stem will root itself under the fresh soil and will also strengthen it up a little. It looks to have stretched some. If air can't circulate at the base of the stem, things become stagnant, and I think the seedling is more at risk of developing pythium wilt.

I only had that 1 seed...I figured it would be interesting growing it, and if its a male plant, oh well

I thought if you covered the stem with additional soil at this point it would just cause the stem to rot or something like that.

I believe I read it in a post with stinky or weedhound.

I've never had a problem with adding soil to seedling cups, but I've never had to add literal inches of soil just to level out the container... maybe that's the difference. I'm also careful not to water around the stem, especially if I've added extra soil, and it's always worked out fine for me. Granted, I've only had to do it a couple of times, but I've never had a stem rot because of it.
