Hi all brand new to the game trying to read and learn of all of you. couple of starter questions. what is meant by 18\6 when talking about lights. and also what is the best mix for potting into:)

18/6 is referring to the light cycle.
18 hours of lights
6 hours of dankness uh i mean darkness

or you could do 24/0(seems to be pretty popular) my plants seemed to like the 24/0

i use foxfarm soilless mix w/ perilite.
there's a ton of different options tho...so read some threads and see what would be best for you
