I realize this post might belong in the testing forum but I thought it might have a home in the legal section as well since this does involve legal consequences. My question is, if someone were somehow caught subbing (synthetic/real pee) for a pre-employment drug test, are there legal consequences? This would pertain particularly to the state of VA. If so, what are the consequences like? I would almost rather go in, try to dilute (which I know will still probably fail) than risk any sort of jail time or legal prosecution by getting busted using the QF I just bought. ADVICE PLEASE!!!
Thanks a lot folks, everyone on these forums are truly wonderful people!

absolutely not. There are no laws which could cause you to see jail time due to failing a drug test as long as that drug test isn't pertaining to the legal system....for instance if you were on probation by your state and you failed a drug test, its possible that you could see jail time, but if its referring to a job, school, or personal reasons then there is no way due to confidentiality laws.

LIS > Code of Virginia > 18.2-251.4 (http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+18.2-251.4)
according to that its illegal.

I think a lot of states have this law. Have never heard of it ever being enforced though. Its like lieing on your job apps. Everybody does it but never heard of anyone being arrested for it. Truck drivers by federal law can not lie on there apps but most all do it.
